Thank you so much I'd be so relieved if this isn't an alternator problem.
I think there is a small amount of greenish residue that's usually left by corrosion in terminals. I keep it clean from where I can reach the terminals but the part enclosed by the wire connections to the battery pole has some corrosion. Not a lot but it's there.
Although I do understand circuits well, I'm a bit unfamiliar with cars so I'm not sure which wires you mean when talking about different fuse box positions.
I can see if I can find a technician that uses Obd2 and knows how to use it.
@dani_kk Thank you I hope to God this is a battery issue because that's much simpler and cheaper to fix than other possible issues. You sound very confident and that makes me hopeful haha.
I'll see if I can get my car scanned with obd2 and if it detects anything. Sending you the battery would be tough because I'm in Karachi.
By the way, just for my knowledge. Isn't it true that when the engine is running, all the electronics are powered directly by the alternator? The battery is only needed for starter system and electronics when engine is off.
If I'm correct in assuming that, then can a bad battery cause electrical problems AFTER the car has been started?
Thank you so much for your offering your assistance and knowledge guys. I will report back when I have more info.
