Are these dealer prices or retail prices. Because I buy LiquiMoly 10w40 MOS2 oil from Filter house Lahore and they sell it for Rs. 3700 but according to this price list it should be Rs. 2900

These are retail prices. It has got revised though, but only increased by a 100 rupees in most cases and 10W40 MoS2 should be of 3000. In Rs.3800 you get the SynthOil range
Please insist the dealers for these rates and ask for the retail price list for satisfaction.

I think you bought the 5L pack, it is now for Rs. 3800
Whereas the 4L pack of 10W40 MoS2 is now of Rs.3050

If that is so, he gave you correct rates for retailing.

alto VXR 115k driven.using 20/50w minral oil from day 1st (zic and caltex) no problem of oil decrease etc....
about 2 days ago
Flushed the engine with Liqui Moly engine flush plus (nothing special observed after draining coz my engine was already clean)
Added ceratec(190ml) with zic hiflo (20w50)
driven about 50km after that but didn't feel any difference

My ALTO VXR (NON CNG) has done just 700 Kms on ODO yet, and running on stock engine oil. I plan to change oil to 10W/40 Mos2 by the time i hit 1000 Kms.

My Question is, Do i really need to use Engine flush? coz my engine is still new...

i dont feel like things sticking on to my car engine...i would rather go for the normal oil but a quick change. i.e. around 2.5 to 3K kms. kind of environment we live in here, the fuel we use, i guess its better to flush oil quickly than to leave it running over a long period of time.

Not at all. Your engine is quite new, no need to flush. Flush after a couple of oil changes.

Recently I had to pour such "normal" Shell oil in my Cultus in an emergency condition. The feel of new oil almost vanished in like 10 days, and engine noises started to get a a bit loud. I got that changed exactly on the 20th day at 1000 kms. After that I have clocked 3500 kms on MoS2 and engine performance is still same as like the new oil experience.

kis nay kaha tha shell oil dalo? this synth oil is relatively a new thing. before this and still mineral oil has been poured in rakshaws to loader trucks. substandard stuff is available in the market and thats wat you got struck with. just bad luck. try company owned petrol pumps in your vicinity to mitigate such risks.

It was purchased from the Shell Petrol Pump in the DHA Phase 1, the one near the Goal Masjid. And I know quite well which oil is a fake and which one is original
If you go a decade back, even these Shell Oils were well blended with additives in proper labs using quality ingredients. But since long they are just stuck in money making business, and not caring at all about the customer. If you go outside Pakistan, Shell, Castrol and Caltex have excellent products still to offer to the customers.
Its just like none of the Petrol pumps here offer quality petrol/diesel and are mixing substandard fuel to make more money. Neither the companies nor the owners are interested in providing good quality fuel. If you dont agree import a new Merc Benz and run on the local Diesel available here. The company even cancels the warranty of their vehicles here-in due to the bad quality of fuel available.
The question is, can't they provide good products, or if they are not interested sincerely in doing so at all...

The choice is yours!

Can some expert here, share the difference between Mobil1 5-40w & Liqui Moly 5-40w? Which one is better & why? Please dont share your personal view but an expert opinion backed by some expert reasoning. Thanks.

Havent used Liqui moly but as i ve heard there is no match of Liquimoly with Mobil i mean Mobil is the father of all engine oils.(H)

i have personally seen water filled oil can purchased from a petrol pump here in Islamabad. thats the only reason i procure lubricants from company owned pumps or the oil dealer who i know for ages.
imported oils dont enjoy a good reputation neither. most of them are filled n sealed in hayatabad just like deodorants!
anyways, i would still say, flushing oil regularly and getting it from a ligit place is still a better option. old school

Guys, somebody told me that ceratec can also be used for auto transmission. He said that it also says on the ceratec bottle/package that it can be used for auto transmission. Can somebody confirm that? Has anyone used it for auto transmission? Pl share results. Thanks.

The packaging states manual transmission usage, not auto. I will be trying it in my 74 corolla transmission soon. There are some noises and if ceratec is good then it should be able to cure it.
