20w-50

20 is winter rating where as 50 is times/folds the viscousity of that particular oil can decrease and still provide required lubrication

in winter use somethig with 10w-xx and in summer something like xxw-40, in other words, 10w-40 is ur all season oil, 5w-50 is a better choice thou.

the first one is mobil 1, for 2700rs, (he recommended it for 10,000km to me :s)

the second one is cofran, semi-synthetic... also recommended for 10,000km...

(they dun have liqui moly at the moment)

@spectra... thnx saquib bhai for guiding me today... but went to concept motors first just to chk the price of liqui-moly but they din have it and only had mobil1 so got it from there for 2700... thnx:)... i think i'll change it at 7500km (the oil n the filter)... wat do u recommend?

Preety strange. They quoted me the exact price of this box Rs.2600 and confirms me the milage 15,000 km.

Thats may be because i hav SANTRO and u hav CiViC (6)

hi......guys i was advised to use CALTEX HAVOLINE,,,,,,,but i wasnt able to get 10w-40 ,,,,,,,so i bought 10w-30,,,,,,,now shud this oil be used ????/bcoz redbull has said that in summer the 40 or 50 is better while i have 30???//?

and is this oil better than SHELL???????

What I saw in market were Liqui Moly oil additives but not the oil itself.

Yesterday i brought the car back from the CONCEPT MOTORS (Official show room of CHEVY) I-10/3 opposite to LAND ROVER workshop at STREET # 9. The car unfortunately met the little accident and now it is all good. I saw some

engine oils there. I did ask them about it and they replied that this engine oil is specificaly designed for ELECTRONIC CAR ENGINES and claimed that one can easily see the difference after filling it up. They also made the claim that CALTEX, SHELL and other brands r still selling the engine oil which was used 20 years before. Also it seems to me that this brand is some thing SPECIAL. Can any one explains this BRAND and their caims too ???
