i have made my mind for this grade but i want to use imported oil like liqui moly
i am using liqui moly in my city 2017 and civic 2015 rebirth and i m quiet satisfied
my asking is only that can i use 0w 40 in my brand new car or not ?

call the manufacturer sales office, ask for distribution centers, call them and ask where to buy it in retail. - Its really that simple.

if you want real proper stuff - call up Porsche and ask for their Race spec oil (it is a mobil product) - It laughs at oil temperatures of 170C.

why the imported? - Shell Pakistan sells ultra which is A+. Mobil Askari sell Mobil1 - and Total sell their own version too. What do you drive?

what is the reason for which you are not recommending me to use liqui moly and forcing me on local oils ?

What would you recommend for an old carb Cultus. I've been using liquimoly mos2 10w40. It's an excellent oil for this application but I believe it's getting way overpriced now.

Edit: I change the oil approx once a year ~ 8 - 9k km

in ownership of any machinery, the running is done at the lowest cost at the correct required performance rating - be it oils or fuel or tires.

e.g. you can drive to station and buy fuel for it, or you can order at home to be delivered to you, it will be the same fuel with added delivery cost.

same with oils, Shell, MAL etc are selling global products which suit your requirements perfectly - you have a cheap econobox car, it takes cheap econobox oil too, API SN rated 0w20 is what Honda usually use. In other markets they specify 5w30 too (as its cheaper than 0w20).

Why would you purchase expensive unecessary lubes for your car when lower cost will do - same thing with porsche racing oil - Yes that oil is the ultimate in protection but I would never reach those oil temperatures in any public road driving. The cost of that oil is about 175 dollars/gallon, while mobil1 for passenger cars is about 15% of that. So my turbo BMW gets the euro mobil1 - which is perfect for it.

btw - whats wrong with the products Shell and Mobil are selling?

1- shell ones are avidly available and dont gice you that kick of being different or standing apart from crowd
2- Supposed stigma of Made in Pakistan
3- Shell ones arent fully synthetic (Yeah right, oil changes every 5000km and 2-3mths and complaining about that!)

Buy from the shop that has the best price and range? That would make sense.
Secondly I personally only buy from the brand owner rather than a reseller if I have the option to do so. And on daraz liqui moly official store is present. Also just checked on pakwheels liqui moly catalytic clean is not available, but I got it from official store on daraz.
