in ownership of any machinery, the running is done at the lowest cost at the correct required performance rating - be it oils or fuel or tires.
e.g. you can drive to station and buy fuel for it, or you can order at home to be delivered to you, it will be the same fuel with added delivery cost.
same with oils, Shell, MAL etc are selling global products which suit your requirements perfectly - you have a cheap econobox car, it takes cheap econobox oil too, API SN rated 0w20 is what Honda usually use. In other markets they specify 5w30 too (as its cheaper than 0w20).
Why would you purchase expensive unecessary lubes for your car when lower cost will do - same thing with porsche racing oil - Yes that oil is the ultimate in protection but I would never reach those oil temperatures in any public road driving. The cost of that oil is about 175 dollars/gallon, while mobil1 for passenger cars is about 15% of that. So my turbo BMW gets the euro mobil1 - which is perfect for it.
