Thats correct. Fully synthetic, semi and mineral oils are stated clearly on Liqui Moly website.

Yes LM only has semi synthetic in this grade, synthetic would just offer better drain interval and slightly better oil film life.

10W-40 MoS2 is something i.e. nearly like a fully synthetic oil(sharing all good properties of synthetics). LM cant be compared with Zic, shell, caltex etc.. its such a good quality blend of oil that already the drain intervals are pretty high

Imho.. use a semi synthetic, drain it on time and thats it!

What we are talking ebt right now is similar to comparing which one is better? A carnauba car wax? or a synthetic? Or a hybrid?

For eg:
Check 10w-40 MoS2 semi synthetic vs 0w-40 fully synthetic

Notice that the synthetic is just slightly better for fuel econo, poorer in friction prevention and wear tear, better in deposit prevention, oil film strength and resistance to ageing.

And thats exactly what iv been telling... dont go for the fancy of synthetic! It might sound cool but lower viscosities aren't what our small engines need... they are poorer for wear and tear prevention... we are not talking about V8s.. 6ltr engines, its just a poorly built 1.3 or 1.6ltr engine...

They do need some greasing!

Yeah, some cars although benefit from synthetics, as the engines are made to that spec.

Type "Afzal Tahir" on the search form and you will find many posts at PW.
He is the dealer of LM products in Lahore and his office is at Muslim town morr.

For city, the best oil would be 5w-30 and gives best fuel consumption.
If the model is old or engine is weaker, then 10w-30 or 10w-40.

Why not 5W40 fully synthetic along with ceratec!!!

this LM oil guide do not have the cars which are mostly available here.
xli, gli, altis, city, civic, baleno, cultus, swift, etc. none of these cars are available at this oil guide.

Some may not be, while some cars are definitely available. I personally checked and found City specifications as asked by OP.

Sir, frankly I put couple of cars, models & makers and every time it gives nearly 10 choices. Isn't it confusing? Because normally we wish to have 2 choices as maximum for better guidance. IMHO.

I understand what you are suggesting.

I think its better to check the online recommendations. And see what is available in local market as well.
Not everything they recommend, may be available in local market.
