Living in Bahria town Islamabad/Pindi

How is your experience ? which are the good/developed phases ?
I am looking for a single unit bunglow with 3+ bedrooms for rent any recommendation or rent idea ?
Which are the good /reasonable priced schools in bahria town for 4 and 8 years? I prefer to live close to school

If your job is not in main islamabad city then consider any of the phases, phase 7 and 8 is affordable in terms of rent but if you are a daily visitor of main islamabad city then prefer the initial phases like 1,2,3 because the daily drive from phases like 7 and 8 towards main islamabad city is killing. Won't say that the initial phases are very near but still some what nearer.

Phase 1 to 6 is more aabaad obviously
Phase 5/6. 10 marla portion rent is around 30k
Nusry n early year schools r in pwd.senior classes in gulrez.dr qadeer school wld evn giv pik n drop

hash4u, Is it true that inside Bahria there is only Ace Academy and A.Q khan school. there is no beconhouse or city or even roots ? when you say pwd or gulrez dr. how long of a drive is it from Safari homes (Phase 8 i think )?

if u opt to live in phase 8, then there are many schools in the vicinity, army public junior branch in dha orchards, roots in dha1, abdul qadeer school in ph 8 and in ph 7 as well, all kinds of other utilities are present in ph 7,8. its about 35 km from phase 8 till islamabad club. i go daily from ph8 to club road. ph1 -ph6 are more populated.

u wont find any othr school but these 2 in phase 1 to 6
but these r just couple of minutes far away from the exit points

Phase 2 is the best,Although Phase 4 and 6 have more commercial areas but Phase 2 is the Best.It is connected with Pwd,Police Foundation and then Highway
Dr A Q Khan Safari Villas is a very good school and is at a 5minutes drive from Phase2
Taxi's are easily available in Phase 2

If you are having plans to live in Safari homes,than you can easily approach DHA phase 1 for Roots,it will be less than 10 min drive,but if Beacon house is under consideration than Rawal campus is exactly opposite to Behria gate for phase 1~6 which is around 15~20 mins drive from Safari homes.

How is the traffic in the rush hour / how long it takes you... I was told by a real estate agent that Phase 8 is the only place where you can find a 3 Bed room homes for rent . other phases are pretty bigger houses and the portion will cost more in rent ... .. Is this right ?

phase 8 has the lowest rents if compared to ph1-ph6. it takes 50min to reach from phase8 to rawal chowk (during office timings).35km distance. dha 1 main road gets busy at 8am because of roots school, else the roads are always traffic free, when i was living in safari home (8 Marla) 3 bedroom house, i paid 20k rent /month but thats 3 years before. now i have shifted to my own house ALHAMDULILLAH. if you daily travel to islamabad then your fuel charged will get an increase. and atlleast 2 cars are MUST in BT.

Cooldevil, Can you please tell following couple of things for Phase 8.

1. How much is the rent for 3 bedroom portion in Sector D etc.
2. how far are daily grossery shops including vegitables/ meat etc.
