UPDATE on above task

Went to get my vehicle radiator checked and found all OK.
Mechanic checked pipe pressure, opened radiator cap right after 10km of slow drive. Observed no back pressure. Checked radiator physically and it was all good. He than suggested not to touch it. So, I left it as it is.

Than I decided to change Diesel filter and found it clean as new. So saved a few buck.

However, squealing noise from break pad had to be addressed. I was sure that "Choota" forgot to grease pins when installing new disk pads a month ago. Front disks of my Prado does not have common pins system caliper.

We unmounted rear disks and found most of rubbers were not in place (which shd have been mentioned when I got disks replaced by same "Choota" ). Anyways got new so called Japani rubber/boot Kit for Rs 1000/- . Now Alhumdolillah no more noise pop up when I apply breaks. Total Labor cost was Rs 1000/-. Spend 2k in total and came back home at 1130 pst.

Its time for another Oil chage. Here i am planning and talking to myself.

No compromise on oil as i will always go for Mobile 1 in my vehicle. However, why shd i pay more on filter. Honestly I hardly go over 3000km before change. So any good brand can do the job.
OK Imran, no more so called original imported Japanese oil filter this time.

So I went and asked for oil filter brands and quality level. Checked every brand like original, sachi muchi original, Qasmien Original, we are honest and its original.

At the end, i Picked same toyota japan filter and came back home.

Boley tu apna dil toyota se neechey manta hi nahi.

How do you find the acceleration on this, mine touches 110-120, the cars are overtaking me @ 130 - 140. I have been talking to other owners and the have learnt to live with the speed, but love the 4x4 capabilities on this.... Some suggested to swap the engine with that of a 4 Runner 3.4L V6 but I believe you loose on the value and originality, but that's just me ......

What is your take on this ?

1KD shall be an expensive swap. Further, engines made before 2010 have reliability issues due to fuel injectors. Replacing its injectors can incur an excess of Rs. 150,000 whereas 1KZ injectors cost around Rs. 12,000 (difference of day and night).

5VZ (3.4 L) is only good in vehicles where it comes stock. When swapped in other vehicles its fuel economy becomes a nightmare.

It's better to use lower differential ratios. This will improve both highway speeds and fuel economy.

Cost shall be around rupees 85 thousand.

Sorry for late response. I am not speed guy plus I know my vehicle isn't made for speed. However, once i was talking to other fellow members so I touched somewhere between 120-130 on motorway. I saw speedometer I immediately wake myself up and reduced speed.
Cuz these machines are not made for speed plus I do not run my vehicle very fast. Thats it. Never tried it ever again.

I think there is not need to check its speed limits. However you are free to enjoy its power on hills.

Sir 1KD is good engine but our fuel isn't good enough for it ......... Or one hv to hv two filters for this setup.
