Local Wagon R rear speakers stopped working suddenly

I had installed after market speaker in the rear, I think they were some pioneer speakers. A while ago both speakers suddenly stopped working. I do suspect the speakers to be faulty but waht are the chances that both stop working at the same time?
Front speaker still work just fine. Could it be an issue with the head unit?

in my case, whenever speakers were about to die, they gave clear indication before - they just never went off at once - i believe the wiring is not proper as sometimes the same happened in my rear speakers and it was always the loose connectors. were they new or used speakers?

New speakers, only 4 months used. It's strange both has turned off suddenly, wiring could be issue but very low chances that both speakers would have a wiring issue at exactly the same time

there could be a disconnect in wiring from output point of head unit.

Also have u checked fader setting?

Yup first thing that I checked. Still haven't found time to inspect the speakers though
