Long Route with Weak Engine, Honda City 06

Kindly advice me for
I have Honda City 2006 Manual. I live in Karachi and bought this car on Sept., 2017.

I usually filled my tank with normal petrol and car gives me 10 in City without A/c and about 9 with A/c.

As per mechanic inspection, car engine is getting weak with some some smoke and its better to sale this car ASAP. (I use Honda oil 5X30)
few days before due to normal petrol, I've changed Fuel Filter too (Kabli one) due to missing, pick and other issues.
he said may be if engine will be weak too much then fan will be direct.

A/c is serviced and chill cool.

I like City due to its trunk. and city is very very cheap car in price with comparision to Passo, Vitz and Cultus.

Now come to the point, I bought this car for Pakistan tour with family. i.e. from Karachi to Lahore, Swat and Azad Kashmir and return
to Karachi in this July by 15th.

My question is that,

1. May I use this car to visit with family specially hilly areas i.e. swat and murree etc.
2. if in city, it gives me 9-10 then what about the highway.
3. What I will do, like checkups etc, if I will go by this car. like
   a) plug change
   2) oil filter change
   3) Air Filter Change
   4) Oil Change
   5) Belt

and in last
Or may I go by train to save the car....

does the car ever break down in local running?
if not i dont see a reason y u cannot travel
switch to 10w 30 oil
get general tunning done.
get Catalytic converter cleaned
also check if the car has original engine or swapped. it came with L12 engine originally

You can just change the head assembly....not much expensive total cost will be less than 25k and you can go anywhere and enjoy this car for years to come
Like for example train tickets if we look at 4 people it will cost 50k for both sides concidering greenline business class and it will be only for karachi to lahore and back the other tour will cost more...but if you go buy your own car the petrol cost will be less than 25k and you can spend the money saved on the engine

And i am in karachi these days so if you want i can inspect your car and see if the engine is really weak or is it something else...and can also help with the swap if i will be here till you decide to do it

Car has own engine...
Catalytic converter not installed...

Me too think, I can go with this car, but, for long route, If I will drive that car for
continuous 2-3-4 hours then what impact to engine ???

Head Assembly change ???
I heard that for honda City cars, we have to change engine.
if we change just ring piston and others, it wont work...
or situation will be more -ve.

if the car is burning oil , then there is possibility that OIL will be deposited on the spark plugs and will cause missing.

but if the car is emitting smoke at really high RPM , like 5,6,7 then it wont be an issue.

things that matter is, if there is lesser life remaining in engine and you accelerate the usage, then you might have to bear repair expense sooner than expected, for example, if engine can run further for 5000KM and you run ur car 5000KM in 2 days instead of two months.

I would advise you to fix your car first and then go for the trip. Don't put your family and yourself in a situation where Allah na karay you have to go to mechanic between your road trip that would be a very bitter experience for everyone. To have peace of mind and a joyful journey, I think you should fix the problem with the car first and then leave for tour.

like... break of 1/2 hour after 2 hour drive or what ????

I am willing to go by car from Karachi to Gilgit or SWAT side..

i don't see any issue taking this car to northern areas, have seen many cars in worst condition making it all the way till khunjerab

No go. I you yourself suspect car engine to be weak, its never recommended on long routes. Long route is not just about high speed, long drive hours. You may face traffic jams, assume stuck in jam about 2 hours with family, and due to weak engine you cannot run AC. Our highways go less facilitating and heavy on cost if car breaks down.
Its summer, and till pindi, you will face scorching sun. Moreover, a weak engine may give up on hilly areas.
My suggestion, dont travel on an un reliable car. Rather take train. Dont burden yourself and car.

I am a frequent traveler LHR-KHI-LHR traveller, and this drives is quite stressed for a weak engine.
For suggestion regarding engine health, mention compression test results, oil burning ratio etc.

NEVER take any car which u dont know how it was used or abused before u had not only that as above mentioned taking risk to take a weak engine car is a horrible idea at first even if you get your car work done i suggest you to make the car send to Lahore from Karachi by a truck then drive it till Lahore & further
I was with family orignal Liana with orignal engine odo 140k only first owner of the car we took good care but there were some noises we ignored that we were just going to Murree fromLhr & on way islambad it overheated & kept overheating with time there was no headgaskit issue all it needed was a little bit of tuning & setting of engine after that on our way back from Murree car didnt overheated once so u can get what i mean
Also what my exp is Lahore to Karachi highway is horrible compared to Motorways though that might have changed but there were daketian taking place when i travelled around 6 years ago & there were people stopping at different places to stop where the were gangs stopping cars & looting them even if that situation is no more then still its not a very fast & secure highway to travel with Punjab is comparatively much secure
