I’m in the process of buying my first car and, after thorough research, I’ve set the following criteria to match my needs:
1. 1000cc small family car
2. Good fuel economy with low maintenance and spare part costs
3. Better AC performance compared to 660cc cars
My budget is 17-18 lac, and I prefer not to take loans to avoid financial burden. This criteria fits my needs as I want a car for daily use but also want to save money instead of spending a fortune on the upkeep of a sedan. That’s why I’m not considering older Honda or Toyota sedans (2006-2007 models)—while they might offer a better driving experience, they come with higher maintenance costs, which I’d rather avoid.
My main goal is to have a car with good AC, reliable performance, and low maintenance costs so it doesn’t become a financial burden.
So far, I’ve shortlisted the Suzuki WagonR since it’s locally produced, has affordable maintenance, and offers decent AC performance. However, some friends have suggested considering the Toyota Passo.
I’m unsure about the Passo, especially since within my budget, I’d likely find a 2006-2007 Sindh-registered model, which may not be ideal.
I’d appreciate any advice or alternative suggestions that fit my criteria. Looking forward to your recommendations!
