Looking to buy Revo

Salam everyone. I'm currently looking to buy a Hilux Revo. Apparently, Toyota Indus has not opened their booking. To be honest, the price of the new Revo doesn't justify it. Would you recommend purchasing a used Revo? Which year should I go for and what exactly needs to be checked while buying a used Revo? I have never purchased any used vehicle in my life, so not sure what needs to be checked except documents. I know someone who got their meter reversed while selling, so how to check if that is the case? I will be using Revo as a daily driven vehicle and my work doesn't require me to commute much (1000km in a month usually) except for any northern trips. How good is the resale in terms of sedans(Civic, etc)? Thanks

i don't think the price tag is justifiable. i would say got for a 18-19, you'll get that in good price. Get it inspected

Buying any used car is tricky and the Revos are even more tricky due to abused in escorts as a security guard car.
But that doesn't mean you should not buy a used one, it is a work horse and extremely powerful machine with extreme torque and HP.
Thing to look out for:

1. Buy 2018 and above models with 1GD engine it is more fuel efficient and powerful than 1KD models.
2. Look out for vehicle with service history preferable with first owner from start.
3. Do not buy any abused vehicle.

ISUZU DMAX is more muscular and sturdy machine. if you are planning to keep the truck for few years. It is more comfortable and got more power equally on & off pavement.

Toyota 4x4s are only cosmetics and attractive resale. Maintenance of Toyota 4x4 Trucks are more expensive, reason is Govt Security Vehicle Fleet., not commercial truck.

2nd most important point is ' It is most sought after 4x4 truck by criminals for gun point snatching ' over the long routes.
