Yes! They did check it with mixture of surf n water with foam and the bubbles were appearing at the leakage spot which was found there at exact location.

Got my Honda City AC checked from HONDA Township. The mechanic checked through guage and physically touching the pipe, told me the AC is okay. However, I insisted on checking the refrigerant weight. Upon connecting with the vacuum machine refrigerant weight came out as 350grams (450g is recommended).

Checked the circuit in engine side for leakages, no issue observed during pressure test, held pressure for 15mins. No abnormality found, so refrigerant was once again made up through the machine to 450Grams. Didn't attach the cylinder for makeup and used the recovered gas. However, after gas makeup I am feeling the cooling has decreased.

Is it possible the gas added was contaminated (chinese gas recovered from other cars )?

From my experience a short pressure test will not indicate a slow leak. There is a reason why you had less gas, and I believe its due to a slow leak.

For me, it was a bad oring that worsened over time.

AC leak is finally fixed using all genuine parts. Lost almost all cooling over the course of 1.5 years. This is where the leak was, [image] Almost all o-rings were replaced. Took 3 weeks just to get most of the o-rings as this is almost never ordered and not kept in stock, couldnt wait any longer for the remaining to come. See post 15 and post 116. According to every ustaad I asked including 3s a slow leak was impossible. If 3s had proper leak checking equipment and the oring replaced on time, it could have saved me from further issues happening in the ac system.

I couldnt tell you why you feel your cooling has decreased, 3s dealers from my experience dont do that. Does your compressor trip on fan speed 3 or 4? Hard to tell, but if it does thats one rough way to tell if your gas quantity is ok.

Old post but can u please tell me where is ac conyroller in honda city is located. I am having a issue with my honda. In tbe start ac trips well and cooling is also good but after 30 mins or so it stops tripping and the air becomes less cold. I have changed every thing condensor compressor and the ac thermostat. I have also changed the relays of ac but still not getting the desired results.

Check the evaporator.

Kindly tell me that how evaporator can be faulty. Because no technician has said me tu change it.

A bad evaporator can make output temperature to vary like in your case it doesn't blow cold air after 30 minutes. Although compressor and gas pressure effects as well. But as you change everything already.
A small advice...don't go and start changing stuff first diagnose.
