I went to honda pit stop johar town, they had some free ac checkup thing going on today (and yesterday).
They checked the temperature from the vents, they said cooling is great so gas quantity would be fine, that it is the sensor that is the problem. The sensor is located in the center of the evaporator coil, they would remove it to the side so the compressor trips on higher settings. OR replace the sensor if faulty. In my case the compressor was tripping fine.
To do that, gas has to be wasted opened up etc etc. rs5800 total charge. OR install a Chinese thermostat that will help with this problem, nothing has to be opened, no gas wasted, no cutting of wires etc (this a local non honda solution).
THEN
went to honda gateway. They hooked up the a machine that can store the ac gas. They took out the gas to see how much was in there. 165 grams. They said it should be 420 grams.
I was concerned about a leak but they said its normal over time for gas to reduce over time, something about it turning to air or something.
Anyways, have a couple of out of city trips next week so will see how it performs.
