hello all ,kindly help me in this issue ,I lost my car registration book as well as file .car isn't on my name ,its still on previous owner's name sindh excise .how I can get duplicate book ?

you are in trouble dear...only the original owner can get duplicate ......he has to set and FIR n then request new book

The present owner on the book has to go to the ETO office and notify them that the original book has been lost. They will give you a duplicate book. After you've received the duplicate book, you have to lodge an FIR stating my original book has been lost and I am the rightful owner of the car and so and so forth. Try to get hold of the previous owner.

This is why tell people to transfer a car on their own name as soon as possible.

do you happen to have any proof of ownership ? as in xerox copy of papers ? any document pertaining to purchase of vehicle ?

if there exist any such paper you have to locate the person whose name is on the registration book, request him to lodge an FIR for the lost papers, with some speed money paid to agent at excise office the papers can be obtained by the person who is owner of vehicle in excise records.

once the papers are issued, immediately file for transfer of vehicle to your name. complete the transfer. - am sure that person will EXPECT reimbursement of his time and favor by all means., in cash or kind.

and remember NEVER again to keep a car on open letter .......for sake of damn resale value ....

if you do not have copy of any document keep using the car till it fall apart, mean while, pray that you don't get stopped at random snap check by police / rangers / customs else consider yourself criminal as per law of Pakistan, car will goto impound till production of ownership papers.

former owner shall give you signed transfer letter with cnic copy and a sales deed of vehicle. with those papers you visit the regional motor vehicle excise office and aply for transfer of ownership by producing your cnic and submitting transfer of ownership form.

you may need to pay any outstanding taxes with penalty. agents touts roaming outside such offices can help you. - after transfer of vehicle you can apply for original file to return n you can keep it safe, without original file car can not be transferred further.

Assalam o alikum. I have lost my file as well as registration book. The car is on my name. Daihatsu mira 660 cc.model 2016 and registered in 2018. I have now only tax paid copy so how i get the duplicate file and registration book and how much it cost.kindly help me

treasure the original tax paid paper close to heart. It is the only evidence left with you being owner of the vehicle.

make copy of your tax paid copy which has complete detail of vehicle as in engine number chassis number registration number and date of registration. cross cancel that copy and visit your nearest police station lodge an FIR for lost registration documents and original file. make sure that both items are mentioned.

with the FIR you can apply for duplicate documents with relevant motor vehicle registration office.
