Lost smart Card

I got the token money for sale of my car. Today when I started checking the documents, I realized that I have lost the smart card of my car. All other documents are comoletely available except the card. What should I do now? Can I sell the car without the card or I should get the duplicate card of the car. Please guide. I am very upset.

How much time it takes to get the duplicate card and how much reduction in car value I can expect? Previously, I locked the deal fo Suzuki Cultus VXL 2019 Model on 18.8 lac

imo between 1-2 lacs less
FIR - giving ad in news paper etc - then submitting all relevant stuff in excise
if you manage everything quickly you can get the slip quick
smart card and printed and handed with alot of wait in routine

I dont think u need smart card and u dont need to cancel the deal. This is the beauty of smart card unlike old registration books. Everything is available online. U can tell the party that u have misplaced smart card at ur house. U can show them online that u r the owner of this car. If u r first owner u can also show other documents of ownership. This smart card is not needed to transfer card to other name. Both the parties r just required to be in the excise office for biometrics. Example: when someone register new zero meter car or transfer used car to his name. Normally it takes lot of months to receive smart card. They also give u 1 receipt may b u have that with u. It doesnt mean that u can not sell a car only bz excise office has not given u smart card which usually takes many months. Dont get worried brother. U dont need smart card. U just need to satisfy the party by showing some document that u r the owner. U can also show online. The party will throw away ur smart card even if u give them bz its useless once car is transferred. Let us know abt ur deal. Ap pareshan na hon aur na he pasay wapis kerne han ya kum kerne han. logically, it should not affect the resale value of the car since you have the original documents and the new owner is going to get a new smart card anyway on his name.. so just tell them that i lost the previous smart card, but i will get the car transferred on your name as i am the legit first or previous owner of the car and nothing is fishy about it... so they will get the new smart card on their name regardless of your smart card status..

however,

what i don't know is if that is a requirement from excise department to submit the previous owner's smart card , etc. if that's the case, then there can be trouble as you will have to get your duplicate card first and then submit.. which will be a hassle. because what if you have a smart card and the new owner also has a smart card for the same car.. who the legit owner will be then ? so one smart card has to be discarded , right ?

If that was the case nobody will make duplicate cards. People will just transfer car on relatives names.

O bhai its mentioned on the smart that who was previous owner and transferred to current owner on smart card........so simple. Jis na zero meter li hoti us smart card per sirf 1 nam hota ha jo k owner hota ha. Used car and resale car ma 2 names hotay han smart card pa

No smart card is not needed. This is my personal experience and i am telling on the basis my own first hand experience. I sold toyota corolla gli last year and as it was bank lease it was first transferred to my name in June 2021 and then as i sold out and it was transferred to new buyer as I had to take this car out from income tax file returns. I saw car was transferred to the other buyer online in June means within tax year. I have never received that smart card from excise islamabad bz its useless for me.
Note: agent did all this as it was decided already that it will just be formality to first get transferred to my name. As i had already sold this car at the time of NOC from bank
My case could be different bz smart card delivery date was late and i had already sold it out

u never had the card in hand from excise
you sold the car on slip (which is totally alright )

if card is issued and collected from excise
it has to be submitted back during transfer process

I lost my bike smart card too, I just bought a used bike last week and going to resell as The seller scammed me so I was selling it in loss and so I didn't transferred bike on my name , I finally got a buyer for my bike, I told hime the faults and at some loss we made a deal, but when I were to meet him, on my way I got my wallet stolen along with Cnic and smart card of that bike and now I'm really tensed and can't figure out what to do, The regitrate asking for 12k to make a duplicate card but That's way too much for it as it's only selling for 40k.and I bought it for 45k and I lost my cash as well that was only money I got, please. Assalam o Alaikum Sir, My bike's card is lost as my wallet fall on the way to office, I bought this bike last week but I didn't liked it actually, my dad liked that bike so I've bought it but later I found out it has some work in engine so I planned to sell it, I found a buyer, told him about the fault and we made a deal and I took my bike card to show him my bike and proof that I own that bike but unfortunately my wallet fell on the way and I can't find it, I reported to police as well,
Now I'm unable to sell the bike, I talk to a man who deal with transfer thing, he told me around 11k for a duplicate card and it didn't worth it as I ain't gonna keep that bike, I contacted the dealer from whome I bought tha bike from, he told me to show For and The pics of smart card and copy of Cnic of owner in nadra and ask them to give a copy of that Cnic as I lost that document, than take that copy and other documents to Excise and show them FIR and Cnic copy+ file, they will transfer, but I'm not if that work,

Please guide me in this situation, What can I do best and cheapest to sell this bike and transfer it to buyer without smart card, other than that I have a complete file and receipt of purchase as well as an afedevit agreement of purchase as a proof.

Is it necessary to register FIR, if your vehicle smart card is stolen ? Is it necessary to publish this in newspaper ? How i can track in vehicle's documents about issuance of total number of smart cards history
