first of all salam to all PW members
i just want to discuss fuel consumption of my japanese alto 660 cc
i buyed it about 2 months ago,i chngd its plugs and oil nd from the very same day it is giving me 12-13 km in local..i havent checkd on long yet..
i need ur help wht shld i do wid it? if it strt to give me 17-18 km/ litre thn it is fine but affording 12-13 km/litre is difficult

should i install CNG in it as i have one extra or what should i do with it??

its a cd 70 of cars. use it softly

keep the car max at 60-70km/hr and accelerate gently

i dont go out of my city even so i keep it to max 70 km /hr

can i install cng in it or not?? will it effect my engine ( offcourse it will but if it works for a year only then its fine with me cux i ll go to foreign n a year )

Its very normal , even if u drive softly it may give 14 but 17-18 in city is very hard to get , i have three 660 cars n i also get around 12

Change/clean the air filter
Ultrasonic injector cleaning

That will help but will not give 17-18

i have the same problem as u r facing. low mileage, my alto is manual gear and 4wd, no doubt the car is excellent both exterior and interior, but its giving me very low mileage of 12-13km in local. I just remove the extra excel connected to the back wheels but it did'nt improve the mileage. Now i m thinking to sold it as quickly as possible and go for Daitsu Coure.
Installing CNG i a bit of risk as no one has clearly recommended to do it.
One thing to ask that your Alto is automatic gear or manual?

is it wriiten in car papers tht it is 4wd or 2wd?

i never tried JDM alto but my alto(1000cc) gives around 14 km average.............i mean if japanease made car with an advanced engine and less power is giving low mileage then there must be something wrong with it...

Nothing wrong there
A 660cc engine has to do a lot of work as compared to a 1000cc engine.
No rocket science there

I have just bought Wagon R 2004/08, it is giving me around 6 to 7 KM/L. I have already changed Oxygen Sensor/Tuning,Oil & filter changed. but no improvement

Reading all these threads about 660cc , I didnJDMsdidnte any great expectations. So I have been pleasantly suprised that my 2008 jdm alto giving between 16-18 km/l regularly.
If the car has been maintained properly and you are getting good fuel, you will get good average.

Use 5w30 engine oil fully synthetic by kixx and also get original air filter and oil filter from filter house or some other place who is having original product. My alto is giving more than 20 average

Synthetic oil is not recommended as the engine is not new it can speed up the weariness of engine

Same case here ,
When i bought my M.R Wagon 2007 model its was giving 17-18 kmpl but after 6 months now its giving 13 kmpl in city . Always runs with high octane.
Pushes the accelerate light and trying run on 60-70 speed.

Hello, I have Japanese wagon r 2015. It is giving me 13km per liter but used to give 18km per liter to previous owner. I changed the oil 20-40w as the mechanic recommended this and also did tuning and changed spark plugs. But nothing helped.

What should I do? I have no idea, I'm really worried about the fuel consumption.

If anyone can guide me, I'll be really grateful, I'm from Lahore.
