Lowering Water level | Radiator | Heating Problems | Coolant or Water

Aoa everyone,

Query #01
I had a heating guage issues with my Civic 8th generation so, I cleaned up the whole radiator. Now, the problem is the radiator lowers the fluid level after every run (almost a sip or two). I use pink colored coolant.

PS: There are no leaks as I have changed and installed the new radiator's pipes. Also, there are no bubbles showing.

As the summers are approaching and we are going to use AC and shutting down Heater. Someone from this page said that the radiator's water would be trapped in heater's pipe and thus causing rust. Is this true? If YES, then what is the solution?

There might be some issue with cooling system, not seen by endusers view. Secondly heater stays connected no one removes it up. The coolant circles from heater core too. It's just we use ac and the mixer box stops hot air from heater coming in to vents and allows cool ac air to come in to vents.

1. What could possibly be the cause of lowering the coolant level? Mechanic has checked thoroughly but there were no leaks?

2. and 2ndly , does the coolant circulate through the heater core or it just trap there?

one more thing, should i use coolant solely or is it better to use it with water?

There is RED & BLUE selector for climate control in the cabin. If the selector is at RED, the coolant is continuously circulating. When it is at blue coolant is simply trapped.

desi ac walas' removed the heater tube circuit from engine bay schooling user for improved AC performance. recently a member has posted a thread about loss of coolant and how it was traced check that please.
