i got my landirenzo cng kit adjusted to use on lpg on suzuki khyber 1995, everything went smooth, the car had petrol like pick. it started of giving me on average 20km per kg of lpg(1 kg of lpg = 125rs ) as i get it refilled in my cng tank from the local shop. on petrol my car gives 11 km per liter approx. but on ac the milage dropped from 20 to 13 kms per lit all of a sudden. i see no real issues with car except on idling the low rpms are not stable. does anyone know the main reason behind it. i live in Lahore. any assistance will be highly appreciated.

Guys may be its a dumb question but I came to know from an LPG user that our suzuki car which come with factory fitted CNG kits can just go to LPG stations and get there tank refilled with LPG and the same CNG kit would work smoothly with LPG as well ? is that true should I try that ?

I have a suzuki Cultus, efi version with factory fitted CNG kit.

Please guide .... ^_^

@dr.omair sugested me as he is using lpg in his coure which has a CNG kit in it but LPG is working good with same kit as well ... so I was amazed and thought to ask if same i CAN DO IN CULTUS as well or not ...

Well it works amazingly fine on our diahatsu coure......
We filled our empty cng cylinder with lpg. After about a month of usage and several tank refills, we have calculated that it is giving us 27km/kg in city......
The only issue we have faced so far is that the car starts missing after every 500-600 kms. We have to take it to our mechanic who opens a certain bolt in our car, drains the oil in the kit, and we are good to go again

by that means not only CNG cylnder but also the kit is off CNG and is easily being used for LPG as well only you have to drain out the LPG liquid which gets accumalated ?

Anyways, our car mechanic ehi suggested us this in the first place owns a charade fitted with 1.6 efi corolla engine, and he's been using lpg in it for over a year now

I have been using LPG on my Suzuki Fx since January 2014. I am using same CNG kit and cylinder for LPG. The mechanic only attached water pipes to the CNG kit at a cost of Rs 600. it is giving me an average of 24 km per Kg of city driving with AC. On highway it gives me an average of 30 km. While petrol gives an average of 15 km to a liter.

i have 2004 carburator mehran and it has a LPG kit attested from Ogra, its avalable in HASCOL petrol pump at shahra e faisal, and at bostan petrolium at islamabad expresssway, opposite naval ancorage

But that price is for KG not litre. 1 KG is approximately equal to 2 litres (someone on PW told me)

yea its 2 litres in one kg, but still it costs 120rs per kg in lhr fsd etc but 160 here

no savings obviously thats why no one even thinking to use here in islamabad, i asked from a filling guy why its so expensive here, he said there's no competition here like in lhr

Specific Gravity of LPG - Unlike water, 1 kilogram of LPG does NOT equal 1 litre of LPG. LPG density or specific gravity is about half that of water, at 0.51. In Australia, where LPG is propane, 1kg of LPG has a volume of 1.96L. Conversely, 1L of LPG weighs 0.51kg.

it's down to 90-100 rs now a days.
