I was curious about LPG, so to test I converted my existing CNG kit to LPG just for testing. (there is no modification to cng kit). I just put a 15KG LPG domestic cylinder in my trunk. Gas cost 106/KG in Islamabad. 1600/- for 15Kg cylinder.

Here are the stats.

Engine Honda D15B 1500cc
Kit : Existing CNG Landi renzo
Piping : existing CNG.
Pipe disconnected from CNG cylinder and installed on LPG cylinder.(the only modification)
Mileage: 280km for 15kg LPG... cost of Gas 1600/-.... 280km/15kg = 18.66 km per Kg.....
Cost Per Km: Rs.1600/280Km = 5.71 Rupees per Km
probably I need to get some mixture adjusted to get 25Km/Kg.

I think it is a good alternative to CNG, no wait in long lines for cng refill.

which model civic was it?
auto or manual?
the only modification you did at all was attaching the cng pipe from cng cyldinder to lpg cylinder n nothing else changed?
the average is pretty good n feasible as well

Thank you for sharing, which car is it? Also was it tested in city driving or highway? what about ac?

Also plz comment on engine start-up, does it require adjustments when switched to lpg? lastly i would like to know safety concerns if any

edit: lpg price has been reduced? it was 175 in winters...

it is city, i have D15B installed in it... tested on motorway with AC. no mod at all, petrol like idling, much better performance..excellent pickup actually much better than petrol.

furthermore, you dont face power loss while driving uphill in salt range.

It is city 1999... Aslam mechanic in Sader did it. labour charges Rs 800. he is quite experienced person.... parts for coupling cost as follow:

LPG Valve mounted on LPG cylinder Rs.285
Charging line Rs 350.
Union: Rs. 85

Unfortunately yes. I was dead sure that I was gonna install LPG- But the best Kits are available in Lahore/Islamabad i.e Tesla etc.

So, in case of any tuning issues or stuff like that, I would have to go aaaaaaaaaaaaaall the way there, so no point. But, right now, I spend about 5000 on Petrol from FSD-ISD-FSD, on LPG- maximum 3000. That is according to my super duper calculations!

^The future is LPG. We need to educate all motorists about LPG, so they can leave the scarce amount of CNG that we have left to Mills, homes and Fertilizers.

Great initiative by the Gov. Hopefully, LPG pumps alongside LPG mechanics and installation places start popping up in major cities, that's the first step. Now a days, motorists are in vain- Where to fix this, that when it breaks or messes up.

InshAllah, premium imported LPG kits start taking over the market- Especially those cylinders that fit inside your spare tire area and stuff like that.
Then you will see MNA's V8 LC running on LPG as well

Yes this is the future but it ill take long enough for ordinary human to afford. during that transition, LPG is a viable alternative
