so Lpg users is it wise to convert my carby alto on lpg??if yes where from??m fedup of petrol average of my car.
havent got cng by last 4months

Bhai I had a deatail discussion with lpg conversion workshop owner who is a friend in sargodha problem is kit and cylinder we are using
He is an axio customer of islamabad is getting 17km/kg
Lpg kit ia totally different from cng and cylinder weight is also 25kg so alot of things in question

i dont think any lpg remains in the cylinder but almost all gets used up, wid my previous n first avg of 136 in 14kg means 9.71km/kg

got 5kg more filled yesterday which finished at 55km so avg of 11km/kg from which i can conclude that almost all lpg got used previously as well

strange thing though i was on expressway, i switched to petrol n while maintaining speed of 60 i switched back to lpg n it was running fine at that speed until i pressed race to exceed speed of 60 then it started slowing down, i repeated this few times n every time maintaining that speed it worked but on pressing race it started to come down, seems like there was some lpg

anyways i went to get air blockage removed but it was already removed :o

then went to khattak cng to get setting done, even though i just recently got new plugs, still he said get your plugs done as well for the gap for lpg, i thought since em getting pretty bad avg so let it be, spent 250rs for setting/tuning
now i hope to get some good average otherwise lpg is totally useless

oh btw even he can set do the same setting as azhar_isb had done, he has cng cylinder as well as lpg cylinder, he has done same setting, lpg domestic cylinder wid cng kit, by adding some stuff etc

i might as well just add another cng cylinder, two cylinders would last atleast some days

you need the coolant pipes in the lpg regulator otherwise it will freeze up and lock, Make sure the entire system is below the level of the radiator cap otherwise you will have air pockets in the system and blow the cylinder head gasket.

Compare the benefits you'll get after spending around 20K on that crap (also keep in mind that CNG may be restricted to one day and then ultimately zero day in near future)

And for LPG, do keep the bills of amounts spent on tuning, plugs etc. Plus the time spent on so many visits to the mechanics.

Average will only get better when u get lpg kit as water constantly moves in that kit but in cng kit it does not
Another thing lpg is highly reactive to temperature

i dont see any use of shifting to lpg kit if i dont get any good average, also lpg is totally useless for winters so the one who got lpg cylinder will be spending more on lpg than they would on petrol
i shifted to lpg to pass summers atleast

so in order to stick to lpg n to get a good average i had been driving really slow, shifting at 2k, no fun no ac
n today the 5kg of lpg ended after the setting was done
got an avg of 15km/kg which is almost equal to that of cng so its pretty good though with that much slow i thought it might go up a little more
well after getting this avg it means 8rs/km, still not bad, now i can say bye bye to cng n move permanently to lpg for summers atleast

with proper lpg setup this avg can go even higher

even now car turns off when it slows down otherwise if i shift back to lpg on moving car it starts to run on lpg but turns off when i slow down like on turns, so it means there is still some lpg which i cant use, maybe hot water pipes will help me use that as well @zia1288

though that khattak cng guy quoted me a figure of 1500-1600 in air for the pipes
also he said if u want to move permanently to lpg then do some kharcha of 5-6k which will include these pipes n some regulator n valve etc thing that will control the flow of lpg n average will further improve but it will never get better than cng

now if i could get those pipes some where for cheap i'll get those too, avg might go till 16-17

no more of so slow drive again, at most avg will come down to 14.5 n now back to ac too

going for 10kg more, next time might as well get whole cylinder filled for full month as i have to go to g9 to get it filled which i have to go later in evening time so till then driving on petrol

now only if price of lpg gets stable one can shift as a whole to lpg cylinder @faiz.aslam.121 bhai ab to lagwa hi lo, u can get 300 in 10kg

this avg is obviously after finishing it all
but i think some what still remains

well even i get 5.6rs avg wid cng but em done with that khawari of getting in lines, its not like u go n get it filled just like that n still get the saving
with lpg just go n get it filled without any hassle or tension or anything, its a peace of mind, no khawari of long lines or parking one day earlier so for me its fine even if i get avg of 8rs instead of 5.6 as petrol avg of 12-14rs/km would ruin the saving of cng anyways so y not just stick to lpg altogether n still manage some saving which again is for me not for u lol

well if em getting 15 wid auto then its straight 17 for u in case of manual n then for expressway again 18-19
u should get somewhere between 18-20 if em getting 15

well i have got the lpg setting done so i dont need to go to khattak, but his cng setting does gives quite good average so he is good in that area, i was thinking i might as well ask him to set it more for eco suppressing the pick, would that work? it works in case of cng atleast, pick goes dead but avg gets better

also where else to go if not khattak?

Dude i am also getting 75 in 5Kg last time and i wasnt satisfied wid that as i was expecting atleast 18 just because many people are getting 20+ so considering my engine i thought ke my car will give me 18 but then later on i thought its 8 rs/km which aint bad considering the comparison to petrol but the only problem is that washle thing that i am facing nothing else. I dont have that engine turn offf issue that you are facing or stalling at low rpm or anything.

I asked about the hot water pipes from Sajid CNG and he also said that u dont need them in summers so dats y i didnt install them reagarding that thing u said that u can still shift this thing is undestandeable and i dont think that wont be solved by hot water pipes as the problem here is the liquid in ur cylinder isn't enough to produce sufficient gas required by your car continuously when it is about to end where as when you convert your car to LPG it gives some time for that liquid to be converted to GAS and hence in this way u can still shift to LPG for a few 100 meters and i m pretty sure that problem wont be solved by hot water pipes. Hot water pipes are necessary when u r going on high speed for a very long time hence it will cause your kit to freeze when u r sure that u have some LPG left in your cylinder as by running on petrol ur CNG kit will get warmed up by your engine temperature in your hood and u will drive again on LPG.
