Lubricant Discussion- Engine Oil / Gear Oil

Aoa everyone. I have a corolla gli 2010. Which i purchased used in very good condition. I didn't know which engine oil previous owner was using. When i bought the car I started using Kixx pao 5w40. I have no issues whatsoever but i wajt to ask if i can switch to Kixx 5w30.
The other thing is transmission noise. Which can be heard in all gears. Its a whining noise. Like oooonnn. It is less when accelerating but when the car decelerate it comes more like eeeennnnnn. Like in some old cars. Gear oil was changed by me to company specs. How can i make that noise go away.

Seniors please help. Car is driven almost 1,30,000kms.

So my car just completed 40,000KMs in 4.5 years (Low Usage) - The dealership told me to change CVT Oil but everyone had a different opinion. Some said change it immediately, Some said change it at 45k-50k.

I read the manual and it also mentioned time (3 Years I guess)

The real question now is how are you guys maintaining your CVT Fluid? Real world knowledge/experience is usually different from what the Dealership recommends.

Can i start using now honda/shell engine oil for hoda city instead of before using total engine oil?

Yes. Anytime you can start using Honda Genuine Oil. 0W20 or 5W30 is recommended.

it's simple, open drain bolt, drain old oil, put back drain bolt (with transmission sealant on bolt threads), open oil filler plug, pour oil, put back filler plug
tightening torque is 21 Nm

If not then how are you recommending Zic Gear FF?

If you want to go with caltex, find their company outlet in lahore. If you are going with total, head to any company operated filling station of total. If its castrol etc then head to company operated station of pso. I would avoid oil shops despite of repute when there are company operated outlets available.

PS buy oil filter from 3s or 1s shops.
