I changed engine oil (honda 5w30 SN) and oil filter of civic 2014 just 3 days back. After 2 days, observed oil leaked under hood of car (approx 300 ml). Since oil just got changed, oil level on dipstick showed just around lower level (oil is thin and honda dipstick isn't that clear to judge).
Went to mechanic and he told me that oil filter had leak as oil changing guy didn't tighten it properly. He suggested to either keep driving with same level or top up with toyota 5w 30 SN as its available in 1 litre packing whereas honda oil available in 3.7 litre packing only.
Car engine is in excellent condition, no oil consumption observed ever.
Now, i keep driving with oil at lower side of dipstick or top up with other company 5w30 SN oil?
Secondly, engine oil check light comes when engine is low in oil to what measurement?
