Assalam o alaikum. My Daihatsu Mira is driven 83K KMs. I Checked the CVT Gear Oil for my Car & Stick kind of looks like this. What does it mean? What does the C and H means on the stick?
I've also few questions regarding CVT Transmission.
1. Which is the best CVT Gear oil? Company/Number
2. How often should we change it?
3. Does CVT transmission fluid change requires new oil filter?
4. How much liters of CVT it needs?

Gentlemen I have a little confusion. I recently bought a Toyota Corolla Gli 2010. It has an odometer reading of 143,000.
I read in Pakwheels forums that it has an oil capacity of 3.7 litres if new oil filter is being installed according to Manual
I followed it and put in exactly 3.7 litres after cleaning the engine using Liqui Moly engine flush and now I can see extra oil using the dip-stick. Is this normal with Corollas?

Wslam it is normal. with 3.7 the oil is bit above the top mark and thats why ppl pour in 3.5 litres which is wrong practice. I am first owner of a gli 2010 and I have been pouring in 3.7 since the start. the car is now 158k km driven. I am using 5w30 fully synthetic oil in it. Let me know if you have any more queries regarding this car.

I Checked the CVT Gear Oil for my Car & Stick kind of looks like this. What does it mean? What does the C and H means on the stick?

C is for Cold and H for Hot. Honestly it's not that easy to check CVT fluid even with a dipstick and many people overfill it which cause issues.

The best way is to check fluid level when it's hot, and it should be between the manufacturer's recommended temperature range. I suggest leave it to a professional for fluid change and level check.

Hi. I have a honda city 2001 and my mechanic told me that I should change the transmission fluid after every 40K KM. Please recommend which to go for MTF or Honda CVTF. My car is manual.

Car is working fine, but do I still have to change it after every 40,000 km?

Better to bypass the filter, than using guard filter. They are made to destroy engines.

This filter is really nicely built - the bypass valve is also disc type which is nicely sealed, what material is the drain back valve? Filtration area is great too. There was a brand of Qaim whose salesperson once showed me such cut and demonstration. They also took pride in their products. MTF is for manual transmission.
Change interval for MTF is 36 months or 60,000 km which ever comes first.
