What I have understood, Amsoil does refer to API, however, I could not find any API seal / donut on Amsoil products.
I had requested that if some member could share pics of Amsoil products / cans / bottles, where API seal and donut is placed on front or back of that, it would be very helpful.
Raja Sb. recommends Amsoil 0w-20 for 1KR-FE. If Raja Sb. could kindly share pics of 0w-20 Amsoil bottle / can, where API Donut / seal is placed, I would be very much obliged and Grateful to Raja Sb.
Secondly, the claim was regarding 12,000-25,000 miles / 01 year / 700 hours of operation (whichever comes first). I have tried to explain / prove from Amsoil own sources that they are taking no responsibility on their own, and saying to go for 12,000 miles drain interval (even 25,000 miles is not written / mentioned, can be checked above. They are restricting to 12,000 miles only), only if recommended by the OEM.
As per my limited knowledge and information, I could not find any OEM which recommends 12,000 miles of drain interval (If some members know about such OEMs, kindly share).
The point is, if they themselves are not owning it and saying to follows OEMs recommendations, then what's the point in going for high mileage / high drain interval engine oils.
Irrespective its signature series (which lasts 12,000-25,000 miles), or 12,000 miles series, or OEM recommended drain interval series (like 5,000 miles), if Amsoil itself is saying to follow OEMs recommendations regarding drain intervals, then all will have to be drained after 5,000 miles, irrespective of series.
There is no point in going for 12-25,000 miles oil, or 12,000 miles oil, as all will be required to be replaced after 5,000 miles, which is a waste of money IMO.
I hope, people will try to understand this point, with open mind; logic, and letting go of Ego, and not take it personal.
