@margallar I’m still waiting for the evidence against your claim of fake amsoil in market. Or, was it a generic statement k pakistan mai sub kuch do number hai?Do the existing amsoil users a favor and post your findings. I’d greatly benefit from it.
Research & development of companies are stupid in front of Pakwheelers. Amsoil is a douchebag who claims that there oil is 100% synthetic and can last this much.Moral: Pakwheelers are better then the first synthetic oil maker in the world.
Hype created here to run the topic. acha sorry
Zic, raiwind manufactured api thappa.
Do we have to worry about emission tests in Pakistan? Just don't pour amsoil coz If you do then you won't go back to any other oil.
You do have to worry about the catalytic converter fitted in your car.
So whats the benefit then?
90,000kms and still going strong. It chocked with total 5w30 mobil1 and liqui moly. All were api sn certified..bad fuel quality promotes catalytic chocking. I use proficar catalytic convertor cleaner at every 10-15k kms to clean it. Do not blame oil for that. Blame fuel quality for that.
What statement are you talking about?
Read about why cars with emissions need certain api rated oil.
You can just run the car hard occasionally to keep cat from clogging.
The wrong additives can permanently damage things
You dont need the cat cleaner at all.
They still last twice then oem drain intervals with same performance as on day one. My car is 2016 corolla altis 1.8 cvt 100k kms above and i'm getting fuel economy of 13.1km/l these days in Lahore on routes like mall road, garhi shahu, anarkali and lakshmi.0-100 is 8.3 seconds. Let me know which grande is performing similarly at this much mileage. The claims of amsoil are 100% right. Its just Ripley's believe it or not.
That hard acceleration crap doesn't work at all on catcon or maybe just 10%.I'm using this additive from last 70000kms without an issue. Makes humongous difference on fuel economy and acceleration.
Thats just subjective.
I have a cultus which is doing 18km/l on canal. Alot of things matter in this.
The cultus is on 10w30 mineral oil
Now you're comparing cultus 1.0 to corolla 1.8 fuel economy. and that too on canal road. Everybody knows traffic of mall road and anarkali at 6-7pm evening. On total 5w30 my car used to give 11-12km/l max.Happy now? That was api sn certified.
It was giving same fuel avg at 20k and now its at 110k.
These comparisons are pointless.
Exactly. That's what I wanted to say in the start. Stop comparing 100% synthetics with cheap api raiwind thappa phully synthetics. As someone said above benz vs FX.
The viscosity ratings are kinda nominal. If you compare two 5w30 they wont be identical . The finer picture is in datasheets.
But 1km/l difference? How are you even confident with such figures?
This variation is possible with the same oil.
Again its subjective. Expensive doesnt mean better.
Does a 1km/l improvement justify spending an extra 4k
Btw compare the net worth of Shell with amsoil.
Then you will get the idea, if you want to "classify" oils as benz n fx.
As far as raiwind thappa is concerned, if imported meant "better" other brands too are importing oil and bottling here
My point was and is
The 2x cost does not justify benefits (if any)
It has no real benefit at this cost for a guy who just wants to use it in his daily.
AT no point have i said it is substandard (some fan boys try to keep implying this), but i did say that the non api rated oils can potentially harm catalytic converters.
