It isnt hard acceleration you need, you need consistent hi temperature air flow in the cat.

Its not something that will happen in 2 minutes.

You might want to figure out why it keeps clogging tho. Its not supposed to happen so often.

Btw compare the net worth of Shell with amsoil.

No fullysynthetic of shell is available in 5w30 in pakistan. Drained shell helix ultra 5w40 at 1500kms coz it gave crappy coldstarts, lound engine noises, whinning/whistling at 4000rpm. You can stay happy with assets of shell.

Total 5w30 or any other local api rated brand gets crappy at 4000kms in terms of performance. Engine feels pretty rough on acceleration and louder. At least in case of total 5w30. Amsoil, mobil 1 or liqui moly or any other imported brand doesn't act like that at all even if its driven 8000kms. Cost remains same, in fact it costs cheaper like this. I change oil filter at 7500kms with amsoil and oil/oil filter at 15000kms or drive it straight to 12000kms. It still costs me cheaper then any other locally available oil and doesn't give me any issues in terms of performance and fuel economy.

Useless debate, stay happy with your cheap oils, and provide evidence on the statement you started this topic.

Fuel quality is crap in Pakistan. Fuel filter gets clogged at like 70-80k kms on odometer. What can you expect from a catalytic convertor then? You should understand a difference between completely clean catalytic convertor and partially clogged. Majority of people keeps driving with partially clogged and clean it up when chocked. I don't do that at all.
I can feel while driving my car that its partially clogged, and I keep it completely clean which gives me great pleasure while pushing it hard or while hypermiling.

If that is the case, why dont manufacturers sell their own products to clean cat converters every 15k or mention it in the manual?

Is a fuel filter supposed to be a lifetime part?
What are you expecting?

How about you give factual evidence of other oils getting degraded?

So far another person has reported having no difference after having tried amsoil. So that is the accuracy of human "feel"

Ive even seen people try those gadgets that plug into cigarette lighter and claim to get better fuel efficiency.

One of my 1g crown 86 has 1g-geu engine in it and I like to drive it more as I love the cruise torque of that it has crossed 600k kms now I am using AMSOIL 20w50 high zinc oil in it and from past 15000kms not a single drop was reduced and engine is much smoother and responsive to throttle changes.
I had plan to go toward 40 K interval on it already 8 months passed and oil is still clean and clear

It clogs due to improper api ratings fakely imposed on so called oils in Pakistan I had asked before from members from where to verify the api certifications of respected company.

Cat converters here in Pakistan get clogged rapidly due to improper synth oils because a minute quantity of oil does gets evaporate and in result the cat converter gets clogged. Even liquimoly , Mobil one , and more reputable brands have this problem only amsoil deny that condition and cats dont get get easily .

Want more detail on it I have a large fleet that runs on amsoil and after using it they all are tension free from cat conv services and tune up issues. But before they visit me every after 3 weeks for tune up issues and cat conv clog issues

Thank you for sharing the pics, however, 02 issues are there:

1. I could not find API service Donut and seal on it.

2. Regarding drain intervals, it has been clearly written to only go for longer drain intervals, if recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.

Ones' money / car / engine, ones' choice!

He's right about the fuel quality and it's actually the fuel which is hurting our cars. Fuel filters and catalytic converters get hurt in our country mainly due to third class fuel quality i reckon.
Better oil is like an antidote to the worst fuel you get here so it's best to use the best available oil in the market for your car.
I think it's better to use a fully synthetic oil with short drain intervals in Pakistan.

i think it has more to do with bad maintenance (late tune ups) , excessive hypermiling , short trips and excessive use of Hi-Octane.

Another fact, you may notice, PKDM cars have much lower complaints of Cat con blockage.

I don't think so.
Cat con problems are under diagnosed and under reported in Pakistan.
I agree with the short trip thing though but, which regular tune ups help reduce the cat con choking in New cars? Please elaborate
