I have a Suzuki wagon r 2015 jdm first owner was using 10w40 should I stick with it or can I switch to 5w30 what is suitable?

Why not Mobil 1 5w30 synthetic or Liqui Moly 5w40 synthoil, I think both are compatible?

You can switch to 5W-30 because the recommended grade for Wagon R is 0W-20.
Just make sure it doesn't reduce oil.

Aoa i have suzuki cultus 2008 efi engine recently bought (190k km driven)
Previous owner used shell 20w 50 for 1 year , he is recommending me same
any suggestion should i continue same or move to 10w 40
What i am afraid of is will oil level start to decrease if i go for thinner oil or more smoke from engine
Car is mostly driven in Islamabad and sometimes on motorway too

continue with 20/50 now, no need to change oil in a 190k driven engine.

I am just curious to know, did you figure out the reason of low mileage?
My Mira 2015/17, 75k mileage, is giving not more that 12.3kmL, even on light paddling.
It used to give 16.5-18kmL easily, but after AC service and Radiator service it went drastically down.
Catalytic service didn't help too.
I am using 20w50 Aisin oil. Its a family used car so only used on Sundays.
Please suggest what should I do. Do the engine require any kind of service?

Why are you using 20w50 in 75k driven mira?
You should use 5w30(max)

Hi, mana Kuch month phela engine overhaul karwaya tha because engine sieze ho Gia tha because of faults oil pump. Tab SA ma 20w50 use KR rha. Lakin last month mana mehran ma recommended oil 10w40 shell wala use Kia he. Lakin Roz Subha ma porch ma dekhta hoon to oil k drops Hota he. Jo k engine oil k ho Lagta he. Oil change k bad car 500+ km chal chuki he. Oil dipstick Py oil level top dot SA Thora SA necha he. Mujha bataya ma Kia Karun wapis 20w50 Py shift ho jao ya phir mechanic SA check Karwa oil kha SA leak ho rha he.

sir ji problem is very common when the oil sump drain bolt is not used with a new washer. please crawl under the vehicle in morning before starting engine and visually inspect the oil sump area. you will identify the weeping culprit.

Your problem will be resolved if you change the oil sump bolt. any smart shop can do that for you without high volume loss of engine oil. Top up after bolt washer is changed.

I have a Suzuki Alto 660cc 2021 model car. I usually change the engine oil every 5000km. it's 19000km driven and I last changed the oil on 15000km so almost 4000km covered in this oil, I have to go to the northern side from Lahore and the trip will cover almost 1500km. I am wondering do I need to change before the trip or after the trip.

Which oil do you use?
0w-20 or 10w-40. If it's 0w-20, you can safely use it up to 8,000 km or 6 months whichever comes first.
For 10w-40, better change it at 5000 km or earlier since it's old spec oil sold by suzuki

Aoa Everyone,

I just bought Honda Civic 2015 - 115k driven.
The car and its engine is in pristine condition.
The drive is very very smooth and no smoke is seen.
It is the first time i have to get its oil changed.
Can anyone recommend which oil shall i use considering weather in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
Is Shell Helix 10w40 good for use? Please also guide if changing oil brand cause any harm to engine?

5w30 should be good. Buy from any brand that is not super expensive.

I saw an old slip of zic 5-20 oil changed at 105k in the then the car was sold and previous owner changed it shell 10-40 at 110k and then i bought the car at 114k
Now can i use 5-30 or shall i keep using 10-40
Will going back to 5-30 grade cause any damage to engine.
Please advice as the car at the moment is working perfectly. I dont want to have any troubles

If engine is not reducing oil then change back to 5w30
