Salam Please help me out Which engine oil for Revo 2023 model Liqui moly 5w-30 or amsoil diesel 5W-30 ? Currently its 25k driven almost brand new.

I have a Fortuner Sigma FL and I was using that stupid oil as well given by the dealership but I changed at 20k with Amsoil 5w-30. I felt a significant difference right after the change, car became lighter and there's less engine noise as well. My car will hit 27k soon and I need to change oil. There's one concerns about Amsoil thou, the rating is API-CK-4, this grading is usually used for heavy duty trucks/engines while the 1GD is a light/medium duty modern engine which may not give optimal performance with this oil. Experts can shed light on this because Im also contemplating between LM 5w-30 and Amsoil.

By the way where are you getting Amsoil diesel from? because last I checked the importer said they don't import it anymore so please be careful. Im using the standard Amsoil 5w-30

From karachi thinking to purchase still didnt purchased confused between LM and amsoil..if you know any trusted shop please guide me then… what to further wether to go for LM 5W-30 or amsoil ?

Get it from MM Lube or Zafcom, both are reliable. LM, Amsoil, Mobil1 all are good oils, my only concern with Amsoil is the CK-4 rating. Ive had no problems with Amsoil up till now, Ive driven it more than 6k after my last change but this time Im kinda inclined more towards LM.

If you really want imported and overpriced can’t go wrong with mobil1 probably the best out there.

If havoline makes diesel oils and they’re available locally they might be cheaper and are quite good.

But 5w-30 is reccomended for my diesel revo cant find any good brand totally confused between amsoil 5W-30 and local is not good and dont know about havoline

Any reccomendations

@pwuser15193270534 recommending you two oils that I found available locally that are 5w30 fully synthetic and meet Revo oil spec, suitable for diesel engines.

Shell hx7 PLUS: it is ACEA A3/B4 and should meet B4 spec of diesel . Buy from shell pumps or authorized shell oil change shops. Here are the PDF specs:

Second is Mobil1 5w30 fully synthetic, it is ACEA A5/B5 spec and should meet B5 requirement of Revo:

Unfortunately I didn’t find any other brand that is selling Diesel compatible fully synthetic oils in 5w30 grade.

There is Caltex DELO but it is very thick not 5w30.

If you opt for LM make sure it is fully synthetic, most LM oils you find in shops locally are NOT fully synthetic just semi synthetic, like Molygen and Special-Tec.

Shell hx7 plus is for Petrol engines isnt it ? What is change intervel for all these three ?

Check the data sheet of HX7 Plus. Says it’s also for diesel engine. It’s ACEA A3/B4 certified which means good for diesel.
B rating is for diesel.

And B4 as well as B5 are great ratings good for modern diesel engines.

I already linked mobil1 5w30 above that says acea a5/B5 on the box. Get that one available locally. Triple action power mentioned on can.

For liqui moly there are different variants, which one are you referring to. Attach can pic.

Basically oil that is rated B4 or B5 will work fine in your revo, as per its owners manual. These are European standard oils.

Other standard is API where it should be above API CF4 as per owners manual. Latest is API CK4.

I get mine from PSO only mate but on rare occasions Shell. Try getting from company operated pumps only.
