Is Kixx oils good?
And bro do i really need synthetic oil for my cars if my OCI isn't high?

Even the recommended interval for mineral oil is 5k so its cool

Havoline isn't available in 5w30. Its 5w40! Already getting that in my Swift.

Synthetics can go very for very long intervals - Metrocab goes for 24k km intevals for its fleet using synthetic.

Going for intervals longer than 5k km will void the warranty on your car's engine though. Sludge control is another reason to use synthetic.

Going for aftermarket oil will not void your warranty, as long as it fulfills the manufacturer's specs, i.e. SAE viscosity and API grade. The owner's manual gives you a viscosity chart and grade range for a reason.

That said, 3-4k km is a complete waste of mineral oil, let alone synthetic. Even an API SC mineral should last 5k km in a properly working FX.

Synthetic's offer better sludge control, and are less volatile; they are more resistant to heat in high speed and turbocharged applications. Your car will likely never reach those kind of oil temperatures though. Synthetics also offer better starting and performance in below freezing temperatures.

So really, the only advantages of synthetic you will get are better sludge control and longer OCI's.

Ohh. I didn't knew this. I asked from Suzuki and they told me going for after market oil will void warranty of your car. No matter which ever oil you are using and what so ever. You pour in any oil different then SGO your warranty will be gone. And Suzuki genuine oil is 10w40 where as recommended is 0w20. So a big NO to SGO.

And as far as OCI is concerned. My travelling isn't much. Its like 4k KM in 6 months and I heard one should get his car's engine oil changed after every 6 months. So this was the thing that is bothering me. OCI will be 4k KM or 6 months.

I have used ZIC A+ and Petromin oils(5w-30) and they both are equally good. So go for any of them.

Order ZIC from their website to avoid fakes.

I have also short listed Zic A+ and Total Quartz 9000 for now. Will check further on both oils. I was actually avoiding A+ because of less viscosity at runing temperature.
