0w20, 5w20, 0w30 or 5w30. Kia recommends 0w20 but lucky motors use 5w30 in their dealerships.

I drive my car (Honda Civic-2018 model) very infrequently, with a total of around 1500 km driven in the past 6 months. Given my low usage, is it still mandatory to change the oil every 3-4 months, or can I extend the oil change interval to around 6-7 months?

You can keep the oil for a maximum of a year if you are not driving until the required milage, after that point the oil can start to degrade and lose its lubricating efficiency. Before that there really isn't a need to change the oil. 6-7 months would be nice for the car if you are often driving in hour long stop and go traffic but otherwise I wouldn't recommend it

I would be more worried about rust forming on the engine internals with such low usage.

You can extend it to 06 months max.as oil looses its properties over period of time.

Its not losing properties, the major issue is condensation accumulation in the oil which makes it a slurry. (Thats the devastating part)

Ever wonder why a low mile very mild used engine has a very light mocha looking oil being drained from it, thats slurry.

6 months max. If you do low kms you'll get fuel diluted and the oil won't get upto temp as much. That's determental to the engine.

No, 12 months max. API SL and later later oils have better resistance to oxidation and can last more than 6 months. upto 12 months.
