in my case the car manufacturer has pasted a sticker on the inner side of hood and recommending to change oil after 15000 km or 1 year in a small engine 1krfe. so how to go about it.

Yes In case you are using high mileage oils like mobil 1 annual protection/extended performance or amsoil SS, 15k kms in severe is not an issue

it also says refer to detailed service guidelines, this 15000km is for normal driving conditions, for severe driving conditions,it is arnd 7000km. Do take into account the low quality fuel,air filter,oil filters. the driving conditions here in pak come under severe conditions. So 5000km is a gud choice

i wud like to see a lab report of mobil/amsoil/liquimoly oil analysis when u say 15000km not an issue in severe conditions. Or a view of engine with valve cover removed after 30,000km

This oil is being used in my friends car in UAE . He owns lexus 460. Normal drain interval is 10k kms.
If we look at oil grade other specifications , honda oil has almost same specs , even thinner than this one , i.e, 5w30 SN fully synthetic but we change here in Pakistan at 5k interval.
Is it due to environment or due to different configuration of engine?

Its due to different configuration of profit for shopkeepers in Pakistan. Any oil that has a butte load of marketing attached to it and gives handsome profits - will be sold as God's own car's genuine engine oil.

drain interval are dictated by the manufacturer of the engine, follow that and dont try to mix up recommendations.

e.g. heavy diesels of container pullers having 80,000 kms oil change interval usually have twin oil filters and about 40 litres oil sump capacity,

Do not try to run your CD70 on one oil change for 80,000 kms

similarly dont try to run your container puller on 1500 km oil change intervals

Driving in Pakistan doesn't universally fall under severe maintenance - consider the case of Corolla taxis driven between Karachi and Hyderabad on Mehran highway - they can safely be considered "normal operation".

But it's variable for everyone
Take an example
Amsoil SS 0w20, recommended for 25k miles/700 hours/1 year
In 700 hours I cover approx 11.5k miles (I've calculated my running hours, error maximum +-15 hours for 11.5k miles)
So even amsoil 15K miles recommendation for severe conditions is not applicable in my case
Btw considering whichever comes first rule, my annual driving is around 9k miles/550 hours, then oil change is due
Just want to say, don't trust anyone blindly...
Some dealers like EoW are recommending 20k kms to everyone and it doesn't make any sense

instead of hours - General Motors and other manufacturers use the fuel usage and cold start trip cycles to dictate oil life, which very surprisingly is perfect.

GM econo engines take cheap oils and even old W body cars like monte carlos and impalas with the archaic 3.4 and 3.8 litre V6 engines (same engines Hz Nooh was running to chop wood) - come out perfectly fine even at 400,000 miles with GMs own oil life monitoring system - and the cars are usually owned by people who dont even care to wash them or even clean the steering wheel.

Using amsoil for last 6 months bought from their authorised dealership.. Since I noticed price difference is existing one that available on amsoil USA website as 5w30 one gallon 51 dollars which is more expensive than one that we get here in Pakistan 7500 per gallon.. Why is it so? Can we have any way to distinguish fake from original one?
