i didn't mention any name, the point is, it is stupid to use oils for 10k or more in tiny engines. It is a waste of money to buy such imported oils

Oil change interval is dependant on a lot of factors,

Majorly, quantity, working of it and also the type of oil.

Manjann seller doesnt know of this.

My very simple point here is

if you are buying an oil at 2x cost, you are changing oil for 8k rupees instead of 4k , why not stick to the local brand's best oil and use the money you saved on better things like Tyres, Quality brake pads, Oil filters ( use vic or genuine, instead of leppon or guard).

A better alignment and balancing shop, or engine tune up

I am starting to see people, buying lies that using imported oil to fix cars that burn oil.

if you are going out of the way to get this wakhra oil, you could have found a place that keeps original oils anyways.

anyways, if you use these oils for 20k, you will definitely hurt the engine

if you change it at 10k, you have no benefit (still some risk), but you could simply change the standard oil, twice for the same money (with a whole lot more peace of mind).

Considering this, these manjan sellers (especially eow) should stop false advertising, amsoil recommends 700 hours/ 40k kms/ 1 year whichever comes first, also manfacturer recommended intervals outside US n canada
Considering 700 hours interval, in lhr, I cover 14-15K kms max in 700 hours
So 20k kms interval for everyone advertised by sellers is totally fake
One should calculate his running hours 1st for accurate intervals in case using such oils

another thing to note, our usual cars have very tiny oil sumps, very little oil capacity. small amount of oil is taking all the beating.

in bigger engines, with larger sump capacity, the Oil change intervals are longer, specified by the manufacturer.

If someone follows this advice and uses oil in his vitz for such a long interval, something will definitely happen.

Not to mention, some of these oils have very high levels of additives, which are not good for catalytic converters (hence the lack of API rating) and the potential for even more damage

Wow i am really surprised someone talking about juggernauts like honda and comparing it with a salaried person like me...as if i stand a chance to sue companies like shell.
@margallar So let me get this straight your saying i should opt for genuine parts but stick to local oil because the probability of it being real is 90% or above and all the other shady brands which are not being sold under license here are somewhat doubtful in their claims and you are worried that for example i am wasting my hard earned money to buy expensive oils whereas i could buy a local oil and change it at a lesser interval???
I'll have you know had these other brands not popped up Shell,total etc etc would have butchered us by now and you see new brands of oils coming to Pk which shows you more the demand more the supply now THATs basic economics and people feel the difference and yes i am very pro liqui moly and i just purchased there new Molygen oil ...i think costed me around 10k but what an oil do read about it ....

E.g. people spend 40k on detailing a car which is not reliable to be driven cross country.

I have not seen a single container puller tractor head (truck) use redline or amsoil in multiple countries ive visited.

Its a pretty bleh to be honest.

Castrol euro and mobil1 euro 0w40 blows it out. And they are actually manufacturer proven too.

In usa, there is a national parts store that sells liqui moly, its sales are so poor that their stock is actually dusty and if you are their account holder, they ask if you are ok when you ask for it.

While they sell tons of their own bottles which are filled by valvoline.

They will happily sell liquid molvi to retail customer and laugh later
