Use any brand, it does not matter... Just two things matter:

1) Oil should be of correct grade.
2) Oil must be original.

because nomally company ask to change the oil after 3 months or 5000 kms which ever comes first but considering my car which is only 2000 driven what should i do ?

You should change the oil...

Change it immediately as six months is upper limit of 20w-50

Change it to 5w-30 Toyota fully synthetic for better performance

Sir problem is couldnt find any oil with these specs except Shell Ultra 5w40

There are 2 different Ratings...

1) API: American Petroleum Institute
2) ACEA: European Automobile Manufacturers' Association

No need to fullfill both, fullfilling one is enough...

Kindly answer for my specific question at i have driven mira es 2012 model, 94000 km. Initially engine oil was toyota 0w20. 1 month back my car mechanic did not changed engine oil but said he has done it and after 15 days of maintainace my car started creating sounds when i went to a local mechanic he said there is no oil in the engine except for sludge he insisted for 20w50 considering the mileage and weather of karachi.he poured the toyota 20w50. After that there is jerks.and uthane mn different hai.
Kindly suggest if i should stick to toyota 20w50 or if i should change the oil. Kindly recommend good oil on 94000 km.do i need to flush before switching or i can directly switch?

immediately change engine oil to 5W-20 or 5W-30 of any known brand buy from reputed shop or brand station. Change oil filter.

660 class engines die without warning over 20W-50 grade engine oil,

go for total 5w 30 oil or any cheaper 5w 30 oil for authetic shop almost most jdms consume oil u have to top it up and kept an eye on them did u urself checked that there was no oil in the system?

I m using same 10w40 in Toyota Premio.
Fully satisfied no engine noise knocking etc
But as it is less expensive than your fully synthetic oil so it will drive up to 4000 to 4500 km
And my oil doesn't gets darker yes it's get a bit brown after 3000km
If you engine oil is getting darker early that means that your engine oil is good it's doing its job cleaning your engine
Oil have detergents that clean your engine.
If your engine oil is getting darker late it means that your engine is not that much dirty

I have purchased toyota altis 2012. It has mileage of 227000. What are your recommendations of engine oil for best mileage and smooth drive. Secondly gear shifting is not ver smooth and jerks while shifting gear. What could be the reason?

Use 5w30 or 10w30.For transmission get the transmission fluid checked.If it,s not ok then change it also.It takes Atf ws oil.
