Anyone using Mobil 1 5w30 in Fortuner Sigma 1gd ftv this is the only oil i found according to specs mentioned in owners manual Is it worth buying this expensive oil for Sigma

consider amsoil xl 5w30 too

I find that mechanic through this forum many of members suggest him, location IJP Road Rawalpindi name Atta ur Rehman, but unfortunately i can't go there again because out of city.

I didn't go for compression test mechanic just open the bonnet accelerate the engine check engine by removing oil cap said engine is good use thin oil like 5w30, in winters its work perfectly but in summer when i cross 100kmph metal friction sound observed in engine room, thats the main concern.

No mechanic didn't run this test and drain interval is 3500km on the safe side.

My car was previously driven on shell oil 10w40 grade. Now i have changed my oil to company recommended 10w30 i live in Hyderabad sindh. Where there normal temperature in summer is above 40 degrees . Confused about oil grade . Please guide me senior pakwheelers . Also on ac rpm drops and engine vibrates a little and on releasing clutch too same issue. I am worried whether its because of oil grade or anything else. Please help and guide

sir which car you are referring to. RPM drop over ac the problem could be of idle up vacuum tubes or the electrical fan load. 1st visit an electrician ask him to test the battery and aletternator at full load of ac & cabin blower, if all is GOOD, visit car ac shop ask him to check for IDLE up connections,

Doesnt spec ilsac like i suspected, not all 5w30 are same, acea b4 5w30 will be thicker with higher hths than ilsac 5w30.

Total has launched new ILSAC GF6, oil in future 9000 series with API SP ratings in 5w-30. I think these are highest specs among shell, caltex etc. But experts can advise

Caltex havoline prods 5w30 and 5w40 both are ilsac gf6 sp grade oil
