There are so many lubricants (Engine Oils) are available in Pakistani market. Which one is the best for Petrol / CNG cars???????

I Always Use Caltex Havoline Formula in all cars i eva hav (petrol engine)i trust dat lubricant n no other cud replace it

If you have the spec in your pocket... Go for Mobil1

The answer may not be as easy as you may want to. It isn't really wise to buy anything by brand name. There is no single recommendation either. The many factors on which your choice should depend include:

1. The viscosity grade.
2. The API specification the oil matches.

3. Whether synthetic or petroleum. Synthetics don't favour older engines (which have been already driven 30000+ km on petroleum oil).

4. The price of course.

5. The drain interval. Synthetics usually offer extended intervals. If you do much highway (smooth) driving, you may do 10000-16000 km using synthetic on low maintenance engines, provided you use a VERY good filter.

Although I always favour synthetics, I've found out that the popular Suzuki engines don't have very good ring seals, so they burn up nearly all of the synthetic oil in around 8000 km, whereas petroleum-based lube of same viscosity is much more full-bodied, so it lasts even after 10000km.

ive seen a couple of posts discussing which engine oil to use but even in those posts or this one i never read anyone recommending Castrol GTX... isnt it gud??? if not... why is it priced higher than CALTEX HAVOLENE or SHELL HELIX. the four Ltr pack is priced sumwhere between 15 to 1600... which is a lot higher than engine oil's by catex and shell. why is it so?

Offcourse Havoline Formula & Havoline CNG differs in quality as the first is 10W-30 & the 2nd is 20W-50. Performance wise Havoline formula is for sure better. As far as brands are concern among above mentioned Caltex, Castrol, ZIC, & Shell are good brands.

Mobil Super XHP 20W50
best lubricant available in pakistan being offered by a lubricant giant that is already offering top of the line lubricants in our country.
i m a mechanical engineer and working in cross country pipeline construction department of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines limited. we hav been using Mobil's delvac 1 5w40 API CI-4 grade lubricant in our top of the line Mercedes 6x4 primemovers with a change interval of 30,000 kms (offcourse with a high capacity filter).
so go for it. do'nt think anymore.

moreover, an SAE 20W50 oil best suits pakistani climate conditions. go for it im already using this in my corolla 97 and 2005 with a change interval ranging 4000-5000 kms.

zics r totally rubbish ones.
they call it a 21st century lubricant.

this name has been derived from 21st Century as told by a marketing executive in one of the road shows i attended (bizzare).
i have used their lubricant in 4x4 offroaders and in construction equipment. well its a cheap lubricant, but it costed me 02 Mitsubishi 4d56 and 01 CAT 3306DI engine overhauls.
decision will be yours.
