Hi pakwheelers. I have purchased wagon r recently and it's giving a very low mileage maximum 10km/l. During it's first 1000km check up the company said that it will increase with time. Now odometer is hitting around 3000 km and I'm planning to go for second service. Should i use 5w-30 or 0w-20 as i am dealing with a very bad fuel average even with light foot it gives 9.5-10 km/l and on long route at an average speed of 90/100 km/h it gives maximum 15km/l which is very disappointing in my opinion. So kindly suggest me the oil viscosity should i go for 5w30 or 0w20. Car is mostly driven in Sialkot so weather conditions are same like lahore.

Sialkot has stop go traffic, in stop go traffic, this average is alright. On long it should do more at 90/100. Mine does 18 at 90, local used to be 12-13, improved to 15 after 10k driven

Use Honda 5w30 Oil or any other reputed brand. Use genuine honda oil and air filter. I like the fact honda packaging is 3.7 litres and there usually is no leftover. Genuines available available at Nasir Honda plaza, Honda sugoi MA Jinnah road and DHA. Some shops at Waterpump market too keep them in stock. Beware there are fakes out there for all mentioned.

Check your owners manual. I think Honda recommended 5w30 grade for R18 engine of 10th gen. Stick to whatever is recommended by manufacturer, be it 5w30 or 0w20. No need to change the grade at any kind of mileage.

Salam Seniors
So i own A Suzuki Jimny JA11 660 Turbo and it used to reduce oil due to weak rings therefore started using 20W50 oil although its recommended to use 10W30 in it.Now i changed its Rings but the mechanic again put 20W50 in it.So i had a few Queries

1-Can a small turbo engine like this handle a thick oil like 20W50,Wont it effect its Mileage or the turbo?

2-Considering i just had its Rings replaced,Can i shift back to 10W40 or 10W30 although i have been driving on 20W50 for the past 2500km,If the engines seals and rings are replaced then it wont burn oil upon the shift right?

3-Why do mechanics love 20W50 in Pakistan,any specific reason?

Use recommended 10w30 engine oil.20w50 is bad for 660cc.
If job is done right then no issues.ensure proper working of pcv valve.
Mechanics think they r better than manufacturers and engineers who made the car

helix ultra 5w40 is better than current forumlation of havoline 5w40, quality and price wise, older havoline 5w40 was great but not the current one

Agr 3 saal se continuously me 10w30 use ker rha houn. Kya Mujhe achanak 0w20 ana xhahye ? Mujhe 10w30 pe shyed engine noise zayada feel hota.
