Hello all. I have rebuilt my Daihatsu Hijet 2012 Engine. Its factory remmended Engine Oil is 5w30. The mechanic recommended 20w50 for the first 1200km. After this I want to keep using 5w30. Is it okay? From experience only 5w30 gives optimum fuel average

Get the delo mgx 400 it is available with official caltex distributors and a far superior oil than the others you've mentioned for a diesel engine running on our fuel. It is a semi synthetic.

hello everyone
please advise which oil grade is ideal for my toyota altis 1.6 2016 model. i bought it from toyota sure and its mileage was around 62000. since then they advised me to put petron 20w50 in it every 4500-5000 KM which i have been doin. but recently someone told me that the as per manual i should go for 10w30. please advise if i should shift to 10w30 oil grade and do i need to use liqui moly flush before doing so? also advice if anything else needs to be checked before switching the oil grades.

That's the worst advice that anyone can give you for a car with such mileage. If this car is kept with care as you can judge it by analyzing the overall condition as well as the drive, the recommended Engine oil grade is 5w30, and also use Fully Synthetic and not semi-synthetic ones. First of all, they advised you to use the wrong oil grade for your car, and secondly, they suggested you use the semi-synthetic (Petron).
So, use the Engine oil grade 5w30 Fully synthetic of any reputable brand available in the market.
