Bro did you get any solution? I was using 10 40 it was reducing same as 3000 kms 0.5 liter reduce. What was your solution and what oil are you using now?

Toyota has a Taglon + 0w20 fully synthetic as well. You will have to check for availability but they had it at Toyota Sharae Faisal in Karachi a couple of months back.
If you want fully synthetic, this should be better than 5w50.

My grande 2018 face-lift just completed 50k on ODO. Now for the first time I shifted from toyota 5w-50 to Liqui Moly Mos2 10W-40 (4 Liter)and used genuine oil filtrer and air filter.
Now by just changing the oil the fuel average of my car dropped from 13.5 to 10 with in city limits. What could be the issue as I got the oil from authorized distributor and used all genuine products. Experts please guide.

You don't need to use expensive brands to get good results. All you have to do is use fully synthetic and correct grade of any brand.

I am not sure why you were using such thick grades for 2018 corolla. Try 5w-30 and you will see improvement

Toyota do offer 0W-20 and 5W-30 grades. You can ask them to pour these oils. Usually if you don't tell tell, they use super thick grades which are not good for these modern engines

One more thing, apart from correct grade, look for API spec. It would be good if you use latest "SP" spec.

Hello geniuses,

I have Toyota Corolla gli 2011 manual transmissions. I know it may sound redicilous but could any genius recommend best engine oil for my car considering it has done 200000 kilometers. I am using Kixx 10w40 but last time I changed the oil the oil wala told to use 20w50 from now onwards as engine in 200k old. I don't believe until I hear from a genius here.

Could you please guide me.

about 2 months back, I bought N wgn, im using 5w30 for it. can i use 0w20 in winters or should i stick to 5w30?
Economy in within city is around 15.5 to 16 km/L

You can use 0w-20 for whole year. It's the recommended grade for almost all the japanese kei car until or unless it's turbo engine which usually require 5w-30

That is Taglon Supreme which comes in 0-W20. I wanted to go for it. But Toyota Indus has launched that oil particularly for Hybrid vehicles. And I didn't wanted to do experiments on a new non-hybrid vehicle. 5-W30 is a good grade and most suitable for 2ZR-FE 1.8 (Grande).
Now that I've driven my car for a few days after oil change. Average and Acceleration both have improved marginally. The only concern is whether fully synthetic is must or semi synthetic will do the job?

For 2ZR-FE 0W-20 is recommended and for hybrid vehicles 0W-16 is recommended.

There may be minor differences between this 'Hybrid specific' oil and other 0W20's but I would still prefer it over 5W30 semi-synthetic.
I have been using it in my 1KR equipped Vitz for the past 4K km and so far the feedback is positive. The engine seems lighter and more responsive, last oil was 5W30 Taglon X for comparison.
I have used 0W20 in a 2017 Grande when I had it, and it worked just fine too.

sirs over period of time i have observed at various service stations and workshops there is always a sticker pasted inside the bonnet which mention oil grade to be used in the vehicle. Hybrid vehicles coming from Japan have 0W-20 sticker. This oil grade is available at every oil shop and can be sourced without any problems.
