I am a normal user of Car. Therefore I went to that mechanic through a reference. When he opened the chamber from the back side, I have seen than nothing much was damaged. Mechanic has also told me that you are lucky. @ser_gtr Exactly said. But he made a big bill. I am not sure that he hasn't done all that thing. Because he gave back me the car in around 2.5 days. Engine deassembling from the hood took a whole day. But I am happing car is running as previously

Anyways, My question get lost.
It is good to use 20w50 oil onwards as mechanic suggested or should I revert back to 10w40 after 1st Oil change or some other grade.????

10w-40 least or 10w-30.best is check from car manual for recommendations

always go with manufacturers recommended not any babajee with tajurba .....

Which brand is good for Fully Synthetic 5W-30 in Pakistan?
Car is Yaris 1.5 CVTi
I used valvoline but I am not satisfied with its results.
Magnatec is not easily available everywhere.

I see rings and helper rings in the list, can you ask the magic spell he used to extract and install the pistons from the bottom of the engine?

And on a siezed engine, you need to measure the crank journals for out of round and crank and rod bending too as the forces applied when the engine locks can damage parts.

He charged me a total of 33k inclusive of Labor. It was a referenced mechanic and he deassemble and opend the engine block infront of me. I am happy that my car is running as previously with same fuel average, although I haven't travelled on Highway after that, yet. But car has millage of 850kms after that work.
My only concern is about the engine oil, like I said previously I am using Shell HX6 10w40 and now he is recomending me 20w50, I am confused on this. @SER_GTR advise me to see through the manual. I haven't seen it yet, but I am sure that manual has wordings of using the car with ideal conditions.
Total Millage of Car is 96000kms

Recommendation for K10 engine in Wagon R is 0W-20. With that in mind, you should have not used 10W-40 in the first place. Now after overhaul, I suggest you to try 10W-30 first. If that doesn't reduce the oil in the engine, then switch to 5W-30 and keep using that irrespective of mileage.

I just bought GLI 1.3 manual transmission 2015 which is driven around 1,80,000km. And I don’t know that first owner changed its transmission oil or not. Can you guys please suggest me the best transmission oil for my vehicle. Toyota or Zic which one best?
