I am planning to make this modification on my 46k driven swift. Theoretically it should improve engine performance and fuel average. If anyone has done it then please share your experience and if someone thinks its a bad idea then kindly elaborate.
P.S. To all those who are complaining about poor fuel average of suzuki swift, EGR delete is one of the solutions.
Edit1: I disconnected the EGR grip and the initial results are good. Car`s pick has increased so has the fuel average. Before doing this I was getting 10kmpl, now I get 11kmpl atleast and my method of calculation is refill from E spot and then back to it. My usual refills are worth 550 Rs/- and I know this is not a very efficient method to calculate fuel average as it will always come out low (some petrol evaporates in the tank). Anyway, I am satisfied with this trick but the downside is that the check engine light comes on. I think if i delete the error code using a scanner then that should solve the issue. To further improve the average, I will have the spark plugs checked. My car is 46k driven and I have recently put kixx 5w-40 oil in it.
