Hello guys! I have just bought an army auctioned M151 Mutt A2. can any body let me know that from where i should restore it in a budget amount? I am basically from Multan but you may give me a tip of Pindi / Lahore etc,,, except karachi.... Please let me know...

Probably... One should not run above 100 amps combined. You'll fry the mutt.

hi all im from khi... i've also got a m151 a2 its currently with the dentor....... i've kept the original petrol engine the original distributor had only the caps on it and nothing inside it so had to change it now i've got a cdi one.... its workin perfectly and also had to change the carburetor so got a suzuki jeep's one now its working fine done the general over hauling.... can u guys help me out with the hood, and the original lights both front and back i want to get either new lights or get the old one repaired.. i've seen at many shops like mahmood motors in garden but the lights over there are not genuine and are made out of molds... i also need the fuel cap plus the rear foldable seats and also the windshield wipers... kindly help me out pak wheelers......... thnx.........

Welcome mbjatoi. I would have suggested Mahmood motors too, but since you've already been there, try out lawrence road. Bhaya's godown at lawrence rd, ghani godown at ghani chowrangi and/or shershah. Where is your ride getting fixed ? What's your location in khi. I doubt very much if you can get a back seat. I believe yours too is an M825 (spare wheel on the side). Get it ready and let's hook up.

No bro, its not mentioned anywhere other than the dataplate on left hand side of the steering wheel. The mutt production was as;

M151 - 1960

M151A1 - 1964

M151A2 - 1970 - 1983(late).

1982 onwards was for export only, mainly to Pak, Sudan & a few other countries. Pak Army only got M151A2s, which included a large number of M825 variants used with the 106mm RR gun. Later on TOW missle were fitted on some. Straight M151A2s were lessor in number.

Means,,,, that other than its model or year of production or export......other details are mentioned on data plate.... lemme check it today..... as i believe that A2 is probably the best in shape as well as the latest in design..... and it has a spacious and comfortable passenger sitting also,, behind the driver.

I wish that i have the one which is A2...

no my jeep is not registered, but i can go anywhere in pakistan don't worry about it let me know as soon as possible otherwise i have a plan to go on hunting on friday night for two days

it is more than 3 months i went for hunting whole years is hunting season for us, anyways i will go for partridge and jack rabbit hunting near nooriabad or may be hyderabad as someone invited me at his village...do u have an interest in hunting???

Yes, hunting is very much an interest.

Look what I spotted today. Original engine, Suzuki Carb and a Toyota distributor. Needs alot of work, lots and lots of rusted areas.
