I think the guy paid 250,000 for it, kinda high for the condition it is in.

**Is that 2c Diesel good for MUTT?

**If yes, then while buying a used 2c engine, what things should be checked and what should be taken care of.

***Doest that 2c engine goes with the original mutt gearbox?

****how do you drive diesel mutt in water? do its required any alternation in air filter?

Janj is the real guy for mod advice if you ask me,
When some one mentions 2c, the word "Pus*y" comes to my mind.

When fording with a diesel all you need to have is the intake sealed, a snorkel, a elevated tail pipe and lots of silicon. haha

Yes, the 2C sits perfect in the bay and you can use the same gearbox. As for buying a 2C, its very hard to say how they are from the inside, so unless you are extremely lucky, you'd probably need to rebuild that engine. Take a mechanic along, he'll know what all you need along with the engine.

As for your original engine, ARE YOU PALMING IT OFF ? If so, let me know.

As for the brakes, you can have the same fixed or even put disk brakes in.

Thanks..... You too can have the same. Just need time, money and patience. I didn't have the time nor the patience to wait and build it. I was what they call the early bird. Saw the vehicle, chose it and told the seller to sell me a complete unit. He charged me for it but then filled the missing gaps from other units he had in stock. Those units land up being sold on 'as is where is' basis. The jeep is though. The americans built it to last, but then everything has a life. For e.g. The Hercules engine's head and valves are built to 'throw' away once gone bad. The head especially is prone to crack if not handled properly. GOOD LUCK, post pics.

Thanks alot sarmad and i've already visited all these places but hard luck hehe but i got the back seats from golimar the owner was gettin roll bar fixed so luckily i came to know about the seats as that mutt was standing in the garage next to mine... im in defence phase - IV while my ride is at old golimaar with raees mechanic n yeah its the M825 but i've got the spare wheel and the jerry can moved to the back now anxiously waiting for my ride to ready so that i can take it out for a spin but still paint job, wiring and brake servicing and all left........ can you tell me that can i get the windshield vipers fixed of any other jeep like suzuki or any other on it.........

Thanks alot....... I found the original front light covers and back foldable seats and indicator lever too...... now just need the windshield vipers and also the fuel tank cap....... and my jeep is with the dentor almost done will give it for the paint job but thinking where to give it.... can you please tell me the exact location of the garage that you told me near star gate....? im out of town so will give you a buzz when i'll get back to khi....

Good going Jatoi ....... but where are the pics ? I hope you are taking pics of the different restoration phases.
As for the wipers, the motor i think can be changed to that of a willys or an M38, I can't say for sure if other will fit, but then again dont see a reason why they won't.

What have you done about the spare wheel half-shield covering the front. Please remove that too, as some people tend to leave that on, an incomplete changeover.

do you have any issue with your jeep engine ??? why you are looking ofr engine and i just saw pics of your jeep now it is registered and how much it cost you for registration

Registration cost varies on the mood of the ETO. I got my book and file back after 2 months. They were just sitting on it and hadn't even opened the verification letter's response from the respective COD.
So what started as a 125,000/- bill came down to a few thousands. Initially they were imposing a luxury tax as it was a 2400 cc engine. Had to show them pictures of the jeep to get that off.

Hi All,

I have recently purchased this MUTT from islamabad. Just got it reg from ISB and it cost me about 45k. It has an original petrol 2.4 engine. I need to get a top and some intruments/panels for it.

If anyone knows a good mechanic for the mutt and where i can get the parts etc, (top/bars/odometer etc) plz let me know...
