M825 Restoration help

Salam ALL....
Just bought an m825 Commando jeep in Raw condition and now looking forward to restore it....
I dont know much abt these vehicles as i was not a big fan of these (but now i am as i own 1:P)
So i am here to ask u guys for some help abt how to and How i restore my MUTT...
The jeep costed 1,38000 from Kharian, from a private seller.Auctioned at kharian Cantt. Body wise its in good condition.... We havnt still tried the engine, i.e. being started but the engine is actually in good condition... Now the main thing is about to restore it...GIve me your help and experince that what i should do to it..about engine,body etc...
more that i am living here in Mirpur AZAD KASHMIR, and there is no JEEP mechanic here for specialising in restoring these jeeps, so what should i do...Should i take it To RWP.How they are going to cost me..as it is dificult for me to stay in RWP due to uni..
What shld i do to its engine especially as this engine is quiet uneconomical!! for normal usage due to ptrol cnsmption!
Every1 is sayin to have a 2C engine in it,with same gearbox if it works!
tell me how the 2c behaves in it....and share your experinces...
PLZ i am frustrated very much abt it...!!

Pindi has good restoration mechanics. Stick to original engine. The original carb should give you around 9 KM / Liter economy (this is very good specially for a 2.4 Liter engine). You can further improve its performance by porting the head and replacing the exhaust with a free flow.

If you change the engine, then you have to change everything i.e. gearbox, differential, suspension, shafts, axles, hubs, brakes .... Some people say that replacing the engine with a 2C will be enough, but if you want a real experience then everything must be changed. Otherwise stick to original and enjoy your vehicle.

There are couple of mutts here that have 2 C engines, but because of it the clutch, gearbox, differential are damaged or the drive axles brake.

The stock engine is 2.4 liter low rpm high torque engine.

i agree with arslan what he advised you bro
actually m825 are the gunners and they are less used
so body and engine are in pretty good shape you can make the orignal engine work with less effort and cost
keep in mind orignal is orignal and modified is full of buggs
its 2.4 litr herculis engin with 71bhp at 4000rpm
trust me its got lot of power in it want to see it in action go to you tube and watch "double action mutt"

right hand drive
poower stearing

Salam, i have one MUTT already since long time with original 4 Fwd Gear box with Toyota 3C Engine, can you guys please suggest me what type and make of differential are suggested for replacement so speed can be increased and reduce the differential noise. please suggest best possible options available, also please keep in mind i don't want to change the gear box i am happy with gear box performance, please respond me as soon as possible

my friend had a jeep which we used for hunting it gave some problems and we did used it from long ago as we had other jeeps willeys and sj410's now he gave that commando to me as a gift and it has some issue don't know whats wrong with the jeep it has and electronic fuel pump and jeep some times doesn't start and some time it starts on first self..lastly we took it for hunt and it wasn't starting in middle of a field
