Mahsehra to Chilas - Need Guidence

HI Guys,

I have to travel to Chilas from Abbottabad/Mansehra but I cannot figure out how to do so. Please tell me what options do I have in this regard. Also please tell me the rates that I should expect and where will the particular service be available.

what options r u talking about man. there is only 1 KKH route but thats long and one option is that u can cross babusar pass in Kaghan Valley to reach kohistan area. if u r going to travel on PT then KKH is Best for u coz i dont think PT goes through babusar pass and also ul have ot change many busses in this route. manshera say NATCO pakarain ap aur sedha chilas. it will take 16-18 hrs tough....

Bro I know the routes... I just have problem with the means of transport.. I dont know what types are available there.. i've been to chilas twice before but through the babusar pass.. but that route is expensive.. do you know the rates of natco?

I am trying the natco numbers since morning but nobody's picking up... does anybody know what the last rates were?

there is a direct natco from rawalpindi to chilas at 4 pm from peer vadhai.
rawalpindi to chilas is 1350 rupees

Thanks a lot for the help guys. The NATCO people do not receive phone calls i guess.. I've been trying both numbers since 2-3 days but no response.

Please tell me one more thing. I have heard that NATCO has 2-3 types of vehicles; the big road-liners, coasters, hiaces. Is this info correct? If yes then does anyone know about the rates of each.. Cos i would prefer to take a hiace on that route rather than a road-liner..

the best option is that u travel on the natco vip service also known as natco daewoo, it has a/c, the seating on hiace would be very uncomfortable, besides ive only seen natco coasters and buses plying on the route, hiace is available for smaller routes i think. the fare from rwp to gilgit was 2100 2 weeks back

sallam i just done KKH on my own car, only natco goes there but traveling with them is worst. i met few people in hunza who used natco. they charge 2100 and travel from RWP to gilgit is about 23 hours. if u take off at chilas its 4 hours less. they dont have drinking water is busses aswell. so manage urself

which car did u use ?? kkh is in a really really bad shape, i think if one decides to take his own vehicle it should be a SUV/4X4

Salam, I am planning a vacation with my family so I just want some information that can we traver from Islamabad to chilas in car ( Honda City 2013 ) and further to khunjarab pass as I am little confused about the roads and if not then what r the other facilities r there through which I can travel to chilas from is lslamabad
