Bas Zyrak bhai kia kerin its Pakistan you know. I was shocked to here that there is no ground (neutral) in desi UPS LMFAO ..... this means if we plug some appliance in ups output socket it only runs on one wire ....
No true engineer will say not to use it on output but yes it is a small load on ups.. like an extra energy saver Fan type capacitor in Desi UPS - Engineering Corner - WiredPakistan :: A Pakistani Tech forum

Barrey bhai with due respect 99% of desi UPS don't have ground in their output socket. The ground is shared/taken from the wapda line UPS only provides the live wire.

But there is a catch here ground can be provided to output socket by following a certain procedure which i have never seen in any desi UPS yet. They just don't think its important.
Do me a favour take a tester and hook it all the ports - having wires in them - of socket and tell me what do you see. May be your UPS guy did provide a ground in there.

Ok frnds leave it and tell me one more thing.I attached pannel ammeter in series between the batteries. And what i know is that current remains same in series circuit i.e the current passing from first battery =current passing from ammeter=current passing from 2nd battery.
Now during charging my clamp meter shows almost 13.5 -14 A of current passing through the batteries whereas the ammeter is showing 30A.check the pic below.

Yes chhoty bhai my ups has ground wire and no special procedure needed for providing ground/neutral at the back of the ups. Just connect the common AC from ups 0v to output. Any good ups guy will provide neutral in rear socket. Hence we can connect any charger or other stuff directly at the back of the ups

sherry the way you have attached this panel ammeter is dangerous. the wires connected to battery are thick gauge which can take quite heavy current. when you are charging the batteries with ups you can limit the current to 15 amps or less but when electricity is gone and ups is working then it is quite common that battery may provide upto 40 or under heavy load upto 50 amps to the ups. i believe this panel meter cannot handle such high DC current. It is unsafe to use such meters in series without shunt. I am also thinking how you were able to attach properly such thick gauge wires on back terminal of this meter? always use a shunt with ammeter for handling high currents. Do check the current with your clamp meter when ups is discharging and under heavy load. also kindly inform about the price of this uni t 204 true rms model.

The price of uni t 204 is 3500 bro.
And yes i will check the current while discharging under normal load the current was nearly 20 A on this ammeter but dint checked with the clamp meter.

Lol AC common direct connection to output socket works. But just pray you don't have a short circuit ever in your house. Or the first thing will fry up is your UPS plus the appliance you are using on that socket since its sharing WAPDA's ground and short circuiting in any part of house whether it be on UPS wire or out of it is going to get live current in that ground - as you might know current follows the easiest path - and there can be no easier path than a ground wire. Which leads to both live wires

What i was referring to as special process is taking the ground from Transformer with a circuit board inpalce that only allows one way communication and resists if path polarity is changed or reversed. And has safety equipments as diodes and fuses in place.

Your UPS guy has done a jugarr which do works but is dangerous and stupid putting you and your setup at stake.

@ wasim bhai yes u r rite but most of desi ups are built in the same way and i think in future we should have a close eye on such issues while buying.

Sherry bhai. If you have the digital multimeter ap kiun puranay wakton walay pa jaan khapa rahay ho. Just turn the dial to 400amps on your clamp meter and clamp it in such a way that the wire lies exactly into he center of the loop. Secondly even if you set it up on 40amps the value ain't going to change. 40amps range Mai value ziada precise hogi aur 400 Mai Kam precise
