how can i know the date of manufacture of the battery?
What does Y4C6AH241 mean? This code was engraved on the top of the battery.

A weird problem solved in a weird way.
Total load on Ups is below 500watt (2 fans, 5 savers). If i turn on both fans then ups performs normally i.e no whining sound or slow speed. Which means under load it performs normal.

Not clear on query and aim to resolve issue.

This is the serial no.

It would also b present on warranty card.

Manufacture date would b written somewhere else..

My car is not used much here in Pakistan, the old battery was acid one which i just replaced after 4yrs now i replaced with Maintenance Free Hankook but as my car is not started even for a month so will the battery die or what? what should be solution for this i donot have a person who can start the car 2-3 times a month to keep battery in good condition.

Remove positive Terminal whenever you want to start car reconnect it. i also have same problem because my car running is very less once a week only.. ..

Brother iv checked put could not find the date stamp anywhere on the battery (the blue coloured area).

Nope i was wrong....
Battery manufacturing companies are only stamping the month and year on the box of the battery...
At the top of battery only serial no. is written.

But i have only seen the month and year stamp on Exide and FB battery boxes..

otherwise keep dasi Charger at home (i brought it in Rs500 it charged below 65A batteries ).. one day before using car.. remove battery and charged it... balance water level. and connect. but the terminal removing suggestion also work for one to two week..

My battery is maintenance free Hankook 60AH not the lead acid battery.

This is also a lead acid battery but sealed, there is gel instead of water to prevent it from evaporating.

i am using luminus indian ups ... no doubt great UPS ... there is a selector to match battery type .
1. flate plate
2.Tubular plate
3.Local plate

i am using AGS battery GX200F
which selector i should use ... or any one can tel me AGS GX200F use which type of plates .
i try to find all over but AGS diid not mention any of detail about plate type ..

I have Phoenix UGS 165 attached with mu local made UPS. Battery was bought in August last year. Recently i found salt like substance around negative terminal of battery and the crocodile clip was rusted and had same white powder coated on the side attached to the terminal. Presently its taking too much time to recharge. Normally it took 40-45 minutes to charge FULL, but now on only one fan load for one hour after three hours it is taking more than 2-30 hours. Electrolyte level was low, which was topped up with zero TDS level water. Please tell me the reason and remedy...regards!
