Yes, I called them. But it went to a Pyro Chemicals company. The company we looking for is Pyro Chem. Anyway, I highly doubt the shopkeeper will separately prepare the acid for you. If they do just ask him to prepare more and keep the extra with you. I will contact the Pyro chem tomorrow morning to the correct number. If anything you get just share it with me.

Sir,you should try daewoo deep cycle lead acid battery.
At least they are using virgin lead to manufacture battery.
Volta ,Osaka third class quality have wasted a lot of money on them.
Ags ki warranty claim karawanay Kay liye wazir e azam la pawa chahye.
Been using daewoo for 18 months,with full load ,still going strong

yes, i asked shopkeeper. firstly he said, we prepare in large quantities, so couldn't prepare separately for u. but then he agreed if i provided him the distilled water and gave a day or two. but i also doubt about it as i couldn't know for sure the shop has really made it separately.
did u get contact with the pyro chem??
btw whre do u live in sindh??
and can anyone tell how much amount of electrolyte solution will be required for pheonix 220 model battery??

Can anyone please confirm me what should be the starting charging Amperes for a 24 V desi UPS setup ( 2 Pheonix UGS 175 batteries ). Also when we measure this charge with a clamp meter, should we measure it in DC mode or AC mode?

home UPS start charging batteries when it sense a 11.8 volt drop start trickle charging at 14.2 volts to cut off charging when battery reach 13.8 that means battery is full. a nornal 2KW domestic UPS charges at 2 ~ 3.5 amps / hour while drain amperage is calculated when load is connected.

I'm talking about charging current not voltage. My UPS is currently set to start the charging process with about 12 Amperes DC and then it trickles down from there. Is that a good starting charge or should I increase it to 15 or 17 Amperes?

if your batteries are deep cycle, you can increase the current. but better to leave it as it is.

use DC mode of the clamp meter. you are measuring DC amperes.

if you increase the current manually the battery plates will short out quicker. the weeker cell will go bad 1st. ask a battery shop what is normal current selection they use to charge batteries over night. for quick trickle chargers as in domestic UPS it is always set between 10 to 14 amps with auto cutoff.

I have to buy new battery for my car. Have seen online some maintenance free ones. Besides Daewoo, other companies are also selling MF batteries like Osaka and Volta, which are relatively cheaper than Daewoo. Are they any good ? what about their lifetime? kindly guide.

Hi all. Asalam o Alaikum. Its been 4 years. Abids ups is working fine. I took it once to him for tuning.
And battery is also 4 years old. Still people go for branded ones. And change batteries every year or two. Huh!
