Hello Pakwheelers, I am posting some pictures of Mangla Dam and Mangla Fort which me and my three other friends visited on 19th October 2013. I hope you will enjoy. Mangla Fort isn't accessible to civilians until you have army permission. Fortunately We had permission as one of my friends is Lt. General's Son

Can we easily visit Mangla Fort? I mean is there any restriction? It had been come to my notice that army banned the visitors to go there. I want to go there, I have forgotten my childhood memories there!!!! I have to locate...

Some recent pix from my side as well with your permission ofcourse. Such a wonderful place but with dirty politics and corruption. If I have to live there without that I would prefer it over anything.

Yes! Rizvi the fort is under, occupied and operated by the army and for a visit into the fort, you must need to have army permission. We had Lt. General Yaseen Janjua's permission who is the father of one of my friends who visited Fort with me. Other than Fort, everything is accessible but you have to show your identity at almost every Check post, so keep your original, non expired NIC with you otherwise they will bust you. It happened previously with one of my friends in 2012.
