I had a chance to visit Mangla view resort three days back. It is a nice place for day out. From road that leads to Mirpur from Mangla cantonment., as you approach the bridge there is a petrol station just before that a small road that turns to left. Take this road and you will find yourself at a military check post, where you will be asked for your ID and driving license and given a small chit to enter cantonment area because resort is located in cantt. area. The resort is located 5-6 km from that post. There were not many people around though it was a holiday. My original plan was to visit Ramkot fort as it is accessible from this place by boat run by army water sports club, but I was told that two of their boats are out of order and two are serving people who want to take boat ride for fun, so I had to be contented by taking just a boat ride.
