I dont know whether smone mentioned this or not.......but u need to do a self test........its easy.....
obviosly every car feels a bit heavy when on AC (in terms ov pickup).......so when ur AC is working, ur car should feel heavy.......now what you have to do is feel the car pickup when the AC just stops working.....does the car feel lighter........normally in a Carby Car, u can feel this right at the instant as ur car's IDle RPM wld overshoot.....but since yours is an EFI, i am not sure where the RPM wld settle,,,,,,,,,non the less....try to feel for the pichup.......is it the car still heavy or its pick is just like when AC is off.......
If its not under load(like it shld be on AC).......most probably u have a fault connector in the AC wiring.....the reason i say this is coz i had the same problem with my Cultus...........the AC wld turn off randomly and i couldnt figure till a mechanic( who too was trying to bluff me FAILED) as i managed to peep into what he was doing,,,,,,he just disconnected...then reconnected a connector under the dash..........and BRAVO for me......i came home,,,,,cleaned up the connector myself and having no problem since,,,,,,,,
To a normal reader and even to me at first.......this possiblity can easily be overlooked.........but it may help you....
